We had the spicy beer cheese with a pretzel as an appetizer. I had the beer cheese burger and fries. I do enjoy the beer cheese... app, especially when our server offered to warm it up a bit to soften the cheese. That make it easier to dip. My burger washuge. So I did not get a lot of pictures because I was enjoying myself too much. We got a waitress that was new and she was just the... sweetest girl and did a great job. Everyone was so nice. The food was amazing. I tried the sloppy Joe drink and it was amazing,highly recommend. Read more
Food was very good, atmosphere was great, however service was not very good. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but when... my glass is empty that's where I start changing my opinion. We could see our server on the deck serving other tables and she wasdoing good for them, but we had to have other waiters get us a refill, and ketchup. This would have been a 5 star review but Ihad to deduct for service. The prices are on the expensive side, which is typically no issue as long as the food and service andatmosphere warrant it. Husband and I went to Halls today because he has never been. We both got the catfish dinners. Mine was disgusting and... disappointing. The fish was soggy and mushy. The Cole slaw was too tart and tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for along time. The catfish dinners cost $18.99 a plate. I didn't even eat 1/4 of mine. It just didn't taste right. Our appetizerswere okay. He ordered the beer cheese and veggies. I ordered the large order of Banana peppers with cocktail sauce. The pepperswere good. The sauce was not. It tasted like someone had mixed it with fish. Our desserts were also disappointing. He orderedthe cheesecake. I ordered the blackberry cobbler. I asked for the ice cream to be on the side because it takes away from theblackberry taste if they are mixed. When she brought my plate, it had huge scoop of vanilla ice cream on it on top of a tinyspoonful of cobbler. smh. So very disappointing! We spent $99.00 on a meal that wasn't worth even $15.00! Loved the location, wish it had been warmer to sit out on the deck and enjoy the creek. The Mrs and I decided to have our... Anniversary dinner here but we will return in the late Spring to dine outside on the deck. I had the Catfish with slaw, friesand hush puppies while the Mrs tried the Ribs with slaw and a baked potato. For our dessert we shared a cheesecake withraspberry sauce. It was all sooo good.
