It?s hit and miss with Kona. Most times the sushi is good, but the salmon sometimes is not the freshest (smell and... taste). Going in, it?s a very small restaurant, so keep that in mind for a busy day. To order the all you can eat you use twopieces of paper plus the menu, which can be confusing, and no pictures. Some variety, but half the menu was fried tempura, butthat?s probably because they?re a small restaurant. I?ve ordered delivery quite a few times from this place and have alwaysbeen satisfied. Do I recommend? Yes, 4.5 stars for sure! For Kona specifically, I prefer ordering delivery than eating in. Read more
My husband and I have never been big fans of sushi, but we decided to give Kona a try a few weeks ago. Since then, we have... been back every weekend. This cute little restaurant is located in Walkerville, and it has a lot of character. There sushi isvery good, and Kona provides fun fusion options for those who are not purists. My husband and I are thrilled that they willaccommodate our gluten-free, onion-free dietary needs. Pat comes out every time to make sure everything was good. Whether weorder from the regular menu or all-you-can-eat, the food is always delicious. A word of caution: the bathroom is not easilyaccessible, as you need to go down to the basement, so those customers with mobility issues may want to get take-out instead ofdining in. Read more

Stopped in for lunch while we were in town shopping for the day & decided to go here because we LOVE the La Salle location so we... wanted to give this one a go! The food was so great as always but the wait time here was a lot longer then expected. It wasn?tbusy so I?m not sure if it was just an off day or what. This location is always super small too. So if you want to dine in Iwould recommend calling ahead if it?s peak lunch/dinner hours. Our waitress was SO great & made the experience wonderful,especially for my husband who has never been here before & was having a hard time finding something he?d like. That said, if theperson you?re dining with doesn?t love sushi & they rely on other menu items to get their fill while you have sushi I wouldrecommend something else. They only have a handful of items that aren?t sushi/seafood related so it?s hard to fill up. (Myhusband was pre warned about this but he wanted to come anyways ????) Moving on to their dessert!!! ABSOLUTELY save room fordessert when eating here!!! They have deep fried Twinkie?s & Cheesecake! Which are just to DIE FOR!!! The Twinkie?s come withyour choice of topping chocolate, strawberries Or caramel & I definitely recommend getting them all!! & the cheesecake is justAMAZING. The tempura is so crunchy and delicious.
