Went there Friday night for son-in-laws BD as a surprise.didn’t turn out to b a surprise, cause when daughter came in with the... BD boy and family, they told her (after 6 minutes)have seat at the bar, she then replied we have reservations, and the managersaid oh your table for 10 is in the back. Didn’t get drinks for 1 1/2 hour. They brought one little basket of bread for tenpeople, had to ask repeatedly for a single glass of water. Service was deplorable, food was mediocre, shrimp appetizer tasted sofishy we couldn’t eat, mushroom caps were mushy and also had a foul taste. Dinner wasn’t any better. Chicken parm, 3 of usgot and there sauce had a very different taste( not a great one) I do know what Italian cooking or fine dining Italian tastelike and they are no way near. The music was so loud we had a hard time hearing each other, the manager said they just turned itdown, I believe he turned it up. Most frustrating experience ever. Inexcusable experience, there was 10 people that will nevergo there again. We decided to go to La Rucola for some food between the two sessions for my father's service. Food was great, we got the shrimp,... calamari and pizza for aptz. Then Caesars salad, pasta, stuffed chicken, potato's and green beans for entree. All were great.Service was great and staff were accommodating. Definitely recommend this place. Read more
Our realtor told us we had to check out this place since we just moved into the neighbourhood. We got the chance to last night.... Everything was delicious.. we had drinks, apps, entrees and dessert. Excellent service, atmosphere and above all, food. Even though there were two large parties going on, the staff made us feel... right at home and everything came out in good time. Delicious bread, followed by light egg drop soup, and then the best lasagnaI have had in a long time. And best of all, close to home and no need to travel vast distances to get a lovely Italian meal. Yummy yummy! Service could be improved but the quality of the food is way above average for Windsor-Essex county. Brought me... back to Europe! I recommend every dish I got — though the pasta dish lacked some flavour (but the noodles themselves wereexcellent). Wish there were more restaurants that made this style of food. Read more
