This place was a staple for me growing up in this area. The people working here are very friendly and you'd have a hard time... finding a better bagel around here. I have since moved out of the state but always make sure to stop here whenever I visitbecause it is just so good. Bagel bones for any pups too! I have been coming here for several years. I came to pick up two, turkey bagel sandwiches, and that was all, and was charged ... $19.34. I explained to the man that I believe I was overcharged as it usually is about 7.95 total per sandwich. He said theywent up to $8.16 per sandwich, which still, would not add up to that total amount, even with tax. I was already late to mymeeting, and people were behind me, as he was not gonna budge or make sure he did not make a mistake as I noticed an additional1.58 charge while he was adding up the prices. We were looking for a place to buy a THANK YOU, to give to the doctor and the staff of Lurie Hospital, located inside Central... DuPage Hospital, Winfield, IL. ... We turned into a small Plaza, with a Walgreens, corner of County Farm Rd and Geneva Rd. ... BAGELS seem better than COOKIES, so we parked and went inside. We were kind of lost, with so many choices. But the staff was sonice, so welcoming. We told them why we came. And they helped us to put together 1 baker dozen, which turns out to be 13bagels. And the price is very good, less than $15 for the entire 13 bagels.... WHAT A DEAL! .... The Lurie Staff was verythrilled, receiving the BAGELS from a LOCAL STORE, nearby! ... We were equally happy.
