Location is close to hotels and was able to walk there, got lucky with it being wing night, can?t go wrong with $.89 wings. The... wings came out hot and was crispy, just the way wings should be. Staff was friendly and helpful in deciding flavour options, Iwould most definitely return for wings next time I?m in the area. The cheesecake on the other hand was not so fresh anddelicious, it seem stale like it was cut and plated and stored uncovered for days before. I would come for the wings, just notthe cheesecake ????. We had lost power at our house last night so we ended up at the Smitty's lounge to charge up our phones and have dinner. The... staff were so nice to us. Made sure we had a table right next to the plug. The waitress Megan was extremely friendly. Shekept coming over and checking on us to make sure we were OK! I definitely recommend this place to everyone! Read more
We only went rarely for wings but it has now become almost a weekly thing. The service from the kitchen is always very quick,... even on game nights and our food is always great. Only once did they make a mistake. They apologized and didn't charge us whichwas nice. Our servers which we try to always get (Sarah and Justin) are absolutely amazing! SMITTYS IS NOT IT! July 10th 2022 , 2:40pm. This it?s not the first time that has happened to me with Smitty?s. I ordered food... worth over $80 and did not receive my complete items. I ordered their Bacon Denver omelette , not only did they not include thetoast to go with my meal, but they also didn't give me the breakfast poutine I paid $3,49 extra for. Today I decided to callSmittys directly, the St James location seeing as its where i ordered from. I was passed on to the manager and I explained toher the situation and she said she?ll look into it. She came back to me saying that I have the poutine is packed and that all ihad to do was pour the hollandise on top of my hash browns and that was the poutine! That made no sense and I told her that, andshe explained that they keep the sauce separate from the hash browns to avoid getting them soggy. When she said this Iunderstood that she was taking me for a fool trying to say that the hash brown in the picture below plus the hollandaise saucewill make the poutine I paid for. So does that mean i paid $3.49 for just sauce? And this is sauce that comes with everybreakfast meal!!! I am very angry and upset because the manager treated me like a fool and lied to me only for her to come backlater on and say that they had sold out of breakfast poutine and were out of the bread. I asked her then why did you lie to methe first time telling me that the poutine was the hashbrowns and the sauce, only for her to say that she did not lie to me !?Why?! I have been a client at smittys and have looked past similar mistakes that have previously happened, but the manager?sresponse was the most unprofessional thing I?ve ever experienced, and being a manager myself I was shocked by the audacity. Shetold me she couldn?t help and I should take it up with Skip. This is the first bad review I?ve ever written and I believe it waswell deserved. It's a Smittys and one of the older ones in town but they keep it clean and do a decent job. At this location a few times a... month either for breakfast or lunch or sometimes drinks and apps in the lounge. Priced right, good food and portions, decentservice. Could use a bigger, better patio. Usually don't wait long as they let you sit in lounge for meals, too. Read more
