Drove over 100 miles to have a nice brunch with my dad and they only offer 2 items for breakfast both were specials not menu... items. The view is nice, people are nice, it's somewhat self serve. You have to go outside to access the restrooms which is abit weird. Food was okay, certainly not worth driving a great distance to eat there. My dad loves his fresh brewed coffee. Read more

Beautiful scenery right along the river. Unfortunately that was the best part of the meal. We waited about 45 minutes for our... food because their tickets stopped printing. Our food came out at entirely different times and we had to keep flagging someone(ANYONE!!) down to grab things they forgot. It was almost impossible to get a drink refill. No silverware was out. It was just abit of a cluster, especially for our first visit. I'm hopeful if we decide to try again that it would be better and I canchange this review. But the food wasn't any super memorable and the entire experience was a little stressful. Read more

I am 57 years old and a foodie. I love food and dining out. I usually love the experience. This was the worst dining experience... I have ever had. My husband and I chose the boathouse for lunch. It is a counter service restaurant. We paid $61 for fish andchips, a drink and a soda. Added the tip at the time of purchase. Big mistake. We waited 20 minutes for drinks. We waitedanother hour for our food. Everyone was waiting. Some people longer than us. Evidently the printer was not printingorders....how did we get our drinks??? When we got our food, the fries were burned and the walleye was over cooked. Some peopleonly got 1 meal for a table of 5. No compensation for the delay. No reimbursement to anyone. It was horrible. Never got thesecond drink I ordered. Wondering if I was charged for it?The only nice part was the view. My advice...go some place else! Read more

I love the panko breaded chicken fingers with three sauces! I wish it was a dinner item with fries rather than just an... appetizer. My kids love it too and it'd be great if it was a kid's menu option too. Read more

Visiting from Los Angeles, you never know what to expect from restaurants in small towns. I don?t have high expectations most... times. But, The Boat House was a lovely surprise and I couldn?t have had a better meal! When you first walk in, you areimmediately greeted by the entire staff. You?re then provided with easy instructions on how to view the menu and order yourdrinks and food. You can then go sit anywhere you want, where most of the seats have a great view. As you?re enjoying the view, your food quickly makes its way out. I had shrimp and steak tacos which were insanely delicious. You don?t expect to have goodtacos in the Midwest, so it was a fantastic surprise. Super fresh and tasty food. I can?t wait to come back the next time I?min town! Read more
