First time visiting Cagney's. Had baked fettuccine carbonara and it was delicious! Husband had fried pork chops, broccoli... casserole and stewed apples. Said it was delicious. Staff so friendly. No waiting. So good, we came back the next day forbreakfast!! I had country ham, eggs, grits and biscuit. Damn good!! Husband had smoked sausage, eggs, grits and biscuit. Sooo good. Orderd two plates to go. Mine was right but my husband ordered country style steak with two vegetables. Got home and we had the... country style steak and no sides called back up there and talked to whoever was working there that evening told me I could getcredit for those two sides. I told him that not having the full meal sort of messed everything up , that we should get a fullcredit for that plate and he agreed. Went back the next day and the owner only gave us credit for the vegetables. Tryed todiscuss it with him but was obviously not getting anywhere. Which is fine I guess but I did not feel that was right since thepurpose of going out was to get out of cooking all together because it had been a long day . Bottom line for me I Won't Go Back. I?m still confused and shocked by my experience I just experienced. First our table of 4 food came out somewhat cold after... waiting quite awhile (Not a big deal) even tho it was the special of the day. That didn?t bother me. I had to leave my table of4 to go make a phone call so I ate all of my food and paid my bill before everyone at my table did. I go out for 10 minutes tomake my call and then everyone I ate with came outside and said ? why didn?t you pay your bill? ? I said I did and they wentwell there in there saying you didn?t. I go in there and my waitress and the manager both acted confused and didn?t seem toremember me paying even tho I literally just paid 10min before this confusion. I said pull the cameras. What was so bad was themanager was the one I handed my money to with my waitress right beside him! I went to Cagney's in Midway, myself and my son ordered the breakfast with eggs sausage and either pancakes waffle or french... toast. My son's meal was fine, I ordered the French toast the first one came out with powdered sugar that I did not want, sothey replaced it with two soggy pieces of French toast, and so I changed my meal to sausage and egg platter which was less thanthe other meal. The manager comes out with French toast for me to try, that looks like it had been toasted before they made itinto French toast. When I get my check they never change the cost of the meal when I changed the meal, and upon asking for themanager, I was told they don't know where he is at the moment.
