Absolutely unacceptable. I ordered a veggie omelette. I'm a vegetarian. There was meat in the omelette. I found a piece after I... had already eaten half of it. At that point, I had completely lost my appetite. How much meat did I eat before I saw that piece?I told the waitress, and she refused to remove it from the bill. She said she'd take half off since I'd already eaten half theomelette. When you're a vegetarian, meat is a contaminant. If you found feces in your food, would you be fine with them justtaking half off the bill? The least they could have done was remove the full item. I had no problem paying for the food that wasmade correctly. But they fed me a contaminant and weren't willing to do anything as a token of apology. That's just badbusiness. Read more

We were from out of town and didn't know where to go following a doctor's appointment. We googled places to eat near our... location and liked the menu from 1st street cafe. It was a very good decision! Seemed like a lot of regulars were there whichis a good sign. The place wasn't big but it was very clean. The service was friendly and very fast and we got our drinks but ittook longer than usual to select something from the menu because everything looked so good and we couldn't make a selection. When we finally ordered we received our food promptly and hot. Everything came out as ordered and the portions were very big.Highly recommend and look forward to visiting them again. Thanks :-) Read more

Ok, it seems simple enough but let me say it one more time. NO, Pepsi is NOT okay. But let's not let that ruin the review... afterall there were plenty of other issues that can do that. 1. Virtually identical to every other fake "country stylebreakfast" places in the area..ie Egg Haven, Dundee Diner, Egg City, Southeast Eatery, and so on. Just a hunch that they may allbe the same owner but idk that for sure, I didn't bother looking it up. 2. Grits, Real Grits, are not made with milk unless youare a transplanted yankee pretending you know southern food. Water people. Dry grits + water + heat. That's it. Then salt andbutter to taste. 3. Speaking of butter, ease up on the artifical butter flavor non stick spray products. I'm glad it keepsthings from sticking but when it over powers the flavor of the food....yuck. 4. Teach the staff the definition of Country ham,and no, you don't have it. 5. Peeled, chopped, boiled, then refrigerated potatoes later thrown on the flat top and smashed arenot actually home fries. They are leftovers. 6. None of this will make any difference since there seems to be a senior citizenfollowing who will flock there so they can show off their nasty little chihuahuas and toy poodles they try to pass off as actualservice animals while they gobble down whatever you put in front of them. This is likely the same crowd who actually believesthat Manny's is a real steakhouse. Might as well grab a Walmart steak. 7. Afterthought....fried pork chops need not bebreaded. Sounds harsh but believe it or not, it is the nice version of the true representation of my visit. Read more

The waitresses are always friendly and warm. The cooks put their special touches on the dishes to make them tasty. They also... run a clean and tight ship. I would recommend them to anyone visiting Winter Haven. Read more

I was here when one of the past reviewers that gave 1 star was there. They came in and immediately had a bad attitude and were... disrespecting the servers. The staff did a fantastic job, the customers self-entitlment level was off the chart. The staff hasalways been great with us, food has always been cooked right. Price is very reasonable. Small establishment, worthy of greatreviews. We will continue to come here, without hesitation. Read more
