Firstly, the ambience is quaint & nostalgic... like sitting in a 50s kitchen (not a diner... but like grandma's kitchen). It... makes you smile just walking in the door. Everything we had was fresh & delicious. Hubby had the lamb sandwich with home fries(more like roasted, herbed potatoes). He thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the spinach, mushrooms turnover with salad. The turnovercrust was definitely homemade... flaky, light and scrumptious. Loved my salad too... excellent, light homemade dressing. Anddespite being satisfied with lunch, we went for dessert too. Hubby had the chocolate banana bread pudding & I had the toffeebar. Both were tasty, neither was sickeningly sweet... they were just right. We would definitely go back and have the exact samemeal... however, I think I'd like to try their fish cakes... and chocolate cake. Yummy! Lastly, prices were great & the servicewas too. Also very clean! Read more

Love!!! Its a great homely place on the irish loop. We were thinking of stopping for brunch and almost stopped at Tim Hortons... instead of this place!! ???????? Its a small restaurant with limited sitting. Patio was not open when we visited in June but Ihope they opened it now! The place was busy with lots of people coming with reservations. We did not have one so had to wait10-15 mins (which was no issues). Food was fresh and made perfectly!!! These are the best fish cakes I have had and thecinnamon bread pudding was out of the world!! What an amazing little find! A cottage house converted into a little cottage restaurant overlooking Witless Bay. Amazing food,... delicious desserts, and wicked fast and friendly service. Would definitely recommend before or after whale and puffin watchingif you're in the area! Read more

This place is a gem of the area. If you are doing a boat tour in the area or if you are just passing through definitely plan to... come by here to eat. YOU NEED A RESERVATION during peak season. They are busy and the dining area is small - many people getturned away. So if you want to eat here - and you definitely should - make a reservation for yourself. The food served here isdelicious - simple but tasty sandwiches, soups, and local treats. Read more

Premium quality tasting food and beverage with lovely service! Dining area was decorated with an unexpected variety of colors... and patterns that actually worked very well together and was pleasing to the eyes. Tea was delivered to our table inmismatched kettles and tea cups which was fun and stylish. The menu had plenty of appealing options for a variety of dietsincluding vegetarian. I chose a simple avocado with tomato on ciabatta; it was tasty. It came with a balsamic vinegatette and 1slice of orange. I would've liked more orange slices or a small mixed fruit cup but that's not a complaint just a suggestion. With that said, the portion of ciabatta was quite filling enough for me regardless. The price was fair. The Coffee Houseoffered an amazing view of the ocean where whales sometimes visit in that location. It also includes an outdoor patio. Theyoffer other services such as B&B and public shower service for fantastic prices which you cam find on their website. Wonderfulservices which could be taken advantage of by backpackers and hikers on the nearby East Coast Trail. Will certainly go againand share with friends about this delightful place. Read more
