I have had the Oriental chicken salad many times. This was the worst. The cabbage was shredded even finer than slaw. It used to... be cut up. The ramen and almonds were stale and had the stale taste and smell. They were almost nonexistent. Dressing wasdifferent and tart and oily. Chicken was skimpy and cold. Worst salad ever. Country Cottage Restaurant is awesome! My hamburger was perfect. Fries were among the best I ever had! My wife had California... chicken burger, and daughter had Chicken burger. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food served at this restaurant and the setting overlooking a golf course.... Recommendations made by our server were spot on - delicious! I was there Tuesday afternoon and had early dinner. Pork chop & applesauce, baked potato, etc. Pork chop was so thin &... overcooked it was difficult to cut! Would have been difficult to cut a pork chop any thinner?.! Vegetables were cold. Coffeewas lukewarm. But the baked potato was warm and nicely done. We were heading to a big holiday sale at a nursery and my daughter found this place online. The four of us are from different... areas and like to try local places when we get together. I didn't realize we were going to a senior living area restaurant. Thesurroundings were clean and neat and the menu varied with decent prices. We all got something different and all the food wasgood but not great. I did have some wonderful raspberry ice tea. The big problem was the service. It's not a huge place andthere were two waitresses. We rarely saw our waitress and until we waved for her to get a to go box she hadn't come back afterdelivering our food. We were all out of our drinks and each had at least one free refill due. As I was trying to pay the otherwaitress crashed into me and didn't even say excuse me.
