Really wanted to give a 5 star rating after not having been here for a couple of years and previously having good meals. I... ordered the Pick'n chick'n which came out way too overcooked and were almost inedible. The dipping sauces masked the burntflavor but didn't do much to salvage them. Pros: Garlic fries were good and the staff offered good customer service. Previously ordered burgers which were yummy so it may just have been a bad night for the chicken. Read more
Best place we?ve found so far in the Sacramento area for burgers. The meat quality is excellent! And there are so many burgers... to choose from. They even have daily specials on different, gamier meat options. My husband tried their daily special and it wasa bison burger with nacho cheese, pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, pico de gio, bacon.. macho nacho was the name of it. I gottheir saloon burger that has onion jam, mushrooms, cheddar and house sauce. Both were incredible! We also got a side of garlicfries to share and those are really good too. We were on a long road trip and pulled into Woodland to eat. We like to support local places and this spot caught our eye. Great... welcome from the owner and he graciously shared some ideas of what to try as first timers. Hubby ordered his usual baconcheeseburger and we shared a side of fries. I will share that the prices are a bit steep when you realize the main sandwichesdon't include a side. They offer an "exotic" meat too and today's was an ostrich burger. I debated it at first, then the serverreally pumped it so I did. I can only say the meat tasted very good but there wasn't a distinctive flavor. It was like leanbeef. There's garlic cloves in there too that were tasty. Husband enjoyed a local wheat beer, several on the menu/board tochoose from. From gourmet burgers to Lettuce Cups with a savory chicken filling, I was impressed by the menu. The place was pretty packed but... the service was good and the food came quickly. The exotic option alone made this a standout amongst the plethora of Mexicanfood eateries nearby! Although I want to say that all the restaurants in that area of Lodi looked really good. We went in during the middle of a Friday afternoon. It was post lunch hour and before happy hour. The place is very nice and... low key. We ordered bacon cheeseburgers and they were delicious! With the first bite the taste of the charbroiled burger waswonderful. One of the best hamburgers I've ever ordered. A side of sweet potato fries with a garlic parmesan topping wasexcellent as well. The fries weren't too greasy. We started with the fries as an appetizer but hadn't finished them when ourburgers arrived. The fries were still very good to eat even after we devoured the burgers.
