Fantastic service- phenomenal food- Atmosphere was good- nothing particularly standout- could use a little sprucing honestly-... wasn't crazy about the ambience- but it also wasnt bad- it just didnt align with how phenomenal the food and service was. Thesign out front detracts from how excellent the place is- imo the sign out front is tacky- really, who cares- but I remember aswe drove up I almost said to my wife "nah, not here" bc of what I "thought" the place would've been like, based on the enormoustacky sign - but I'm really glad we went in and gave it a shot because the restaurant is absolutely Top notch and now among ourfavorites. We haven't been back in awhile and decided to go this evening. The food was wonderful (porthouse for 2), hudson salad (shared),... walnut pecan pie was delicious and not too sweet. It was a full house shortly after we came but our server Frank was attentiveand friendly and made it an even more enjoyable dinner. We will go back soon. Read more
I've been to Hudson Valley Steakhouse for both Happy Hour at the bar and for dinner. The food menu at the bar is limited but... great selection. I tried something recommended by a friend, carrot chips. I don't know what I was expecting but these wereamazing! So much so, I didn't want to share. I even order them for dinner though they are not on the dinner menu. Other favesare Applewood Smoked Bacon app, Wedge Salad, Tomahawk Steak for 2 and HV potatoes. Friends tell me the seafood apps are alsogood. I'm allergic to shellfish so did not try any. It's on the pricey side but worth every penny. I suggest going for specialoccasions or date night.
