Had pork chop. It was excellent! Also their bread is great and the bartender was really friendly and efficient!
Food was decent, nothing overwhelming besides the price. Unfortunately trying to embody a 5-star restaurant with 2-Star... results. Only was about half full at best with seated tables, and at the bar. High reviews, and wanted to treat my wife to anice dinner and somewhere new for our once in a blue moon date night. White table linens, covered in what seemed to be whitebutcher paper. Cutting ever corner to save a dime, only to over charge significantly for the food. Service was subpar at best.Our waitress didn't necessarily do anything wrong, but almost ignored us most of the night. I had to stop her from walking byatleast 5 times for questions, drinks, ordering etc... $75 plus tip, for a dinner that was maybe worthy of $40 max. Whatappeared to be the head cook at the bar most of the night mingling with regulars or friends. Worried more about appearance,instead of the over all product they are selling. Meanwhile I waited almost 30+ minutes for an appetizer, and 30+ mins afterthat for my pasta dinner. I don't believe I will ever go back considering the other local Italian Restaurants in the area thatput this one to shame. Very disappointing date night. Read more
We had a lovely meal on the front patio, here in downtown Youngstown. Our server was forgetful and distracted, but fortunately... we weren't in a hurry. This tasty food is served in courses on smaller plates with plenty of time for conversation in between.It's not a good spot for a quick and easy meal--it's not like American Italian food swimming in red sauce, etc... It's morecomplex, more subtle, and it takes some thought to orchestrate the right combination of flavors over courses. I recommendholding on to the menu and ordering one course at a time just to pace yourself. It's a bit less dramatic than Aqua Pazzo, andquite a bit smaller--almost cozy. I really enjoyed a "Paloma" cocktail with tequila and pink grapefruit, as well as thecharcuterie board with delightful and unusual warm olives, and artichokes. I was very impressed with the small plate of BrusselsSprouts, my fave! What a great compliment to Youngstown's stellar Cucina scene! Read more
Absolutely great! Our server was very knowledgeable in being able to reccomend a bottle of wine for us. The food is some of the... best Italian food I've had in the area. When you stop in expect high end service. Read more
