Definitely need to work on customer service and food quantity. When a guest gives you two or more hours to make a Togo order and... they are told sorry we are out and not making anymore today. Moved here from NY. Heard of Jambalaya and wanted to try it. Went in and tried the Pastalaya instead, it was awesome. Nice... little spice to it, the sausage and chicken was just right. We now have one more place to eat! Read more
Moved away from the area and during a recent visit craved Jambalaya Shope's meal. Never had the Gumbo before but ordered the... Combo 2 with Jambalaya, Gumbo amd rice and 2 sides (white beans and potato salad) and a roll. Ate half and was completely full.Jambalaya was as delicious as I remember but the surprise was the Gumbo. In all the years this place has been opened, I have never tried it till today. I can see I wasn't missing anything. After... reading other reviews (some years ago) I can see the same compliments that I have for today. How sad that owner/ managementhasn't tried to fix anything. It did concern me the lack of customers while walking in the door and it didn't take long tounderstand why. While most of the food was eatable ( except the gumbo I trashed the whole bowl), the customer service waslacking even while my husband and I were trying to engage the people working. There are better places to choose from in Zachary, I assure you! Read more
