What a random, simple, cool place! As you can see on their menu, they seem to have perfected what they do well and stuck with... it. Simple but good, especially if you like building your own burger to order. I went with a group of 14 coworkers for lunchtoday (9/2022 - Thursday @ 11:45). Our server, Jason, was extremely patient, polite and friendly, and all of our orders appearedto come out right, but it felt like it took forever to get our food, so I?m not sure who was to blame for that. Especiallyconsidering none of us attempted the ?Big Ugly Challenge? they appear to be famous for? just look at their walls covered inpictures of people who have beat it. ???? I personally would have preferred to sit outside on their enormous patio, and I?m sureit?s an entirely different vibe at various days/times throughout the year, but this time around, I?ll say overall it was a niceexperience. Great burger, I had the elk half pound. Great shakes too! The surroundings and ambiance is very family friendly.
Elk burger was insanely delicious, onion rings were good, and the Black Cherry milkshake had actual cherry chunks in it. Family... friendly restaurant with games on every table, and for a restaurant staffed with a bunch of teenagers at noon on a Saturday, wewere pleasantly surprised at the speed, accuracy, and downright friendliness of our server Luke. Ordering Tip if you have kids! They try to charge you $9.25 for a kids meal ? insane! Even the PB&J kids meal. However, The... Mini Bub from the menu (which is what comes with a kids meal) is $4.25 and a small fry is $1.95. Order those instead and youhave a $6.20 kids meal. If your child must have a drink, the Adult Sized drink is $2.95. If you order that, you?re still gettinga kids meal with a huge drink for 10 cents less than what they?re charging! Kind of ridiculous that adding up the parts of akids meal from the menu equals LESS than the exorbitant price of the kids meal. Was not impressed with the atmosphere of bub?s? it was really dark, tables felt grungy, the bathrooms were in just okay... condition, and I did not like the roll of paper towels on each table. If I want a paper towel, I can use those at home, notwhere I come to pay to eat. I get that it?s a styling choice, but still, I personally did not enjoy that aspect. I was alsoirritated that there were scary show previews on the TV. We had to ask for the channel to be changed. To our waitress?s credit,she found pbs kids and put that on for us. That being said, the food was surprisingly good. One of the best burger meats I?vehad in a while. My food was heavily over salted, so much so that I was crunching through pieces of salt and had to stop eating,but the first half was fine. The sweet potato fries were also really delicious, but again were over salted. We rubbed off allthe salt before taking a bite. The salt thing is an easy fix, or an easy thing to ask the kitchen to go light on. Our kids likedthe food too. Read more
