As Windsor Castle is preparing for the Royal Wedding, we’re over here across the pond, deciding where to have High Tea in honor of the newlyweds – Prince Harry & Megan Markle.

Believe it or not, there are quite a few places in Ontario to unwind and enjoy a hot cup of tea, delicious scones or fresh biscuits! In honor of the Royal Wedding, we’ve listed 3 of our favourite tea rooms located in Ontario:

Teacups & Crowns

Teacups & Crowns is truly a unique spot, in the heart of Windsor’s Little Italy. When you first walk in, you will select which teacup you’d like to use for your visit. Next, choose your tea (take your time!), they have wide selection of loose leaf teas from your classic Early Grey and English Breakfast, to a few fruitier blends if you’re feeling something on the sweeter side. Lastly, pair your tea with a delicious pastry.

Annabelle’s Tea Room

Located in the Southernmost town of Canada, you’ll find the perfect spot for an afternoon tea at Annabelle’s Tea Room. When stepping foot into Annabelle’s, you’ll immediately smell the fresh out of the oven scones (seriously so good)! Once seated in one of their three tea rooms, they will provide a tea menu, lunch menu & alcoholic beverage menu.

Prince of Wales

We saved the best for last! The Drawing Room is located in Niagara-On-The-Lake, attached to the Prince of Wales Hotel and is one of the finer tea rooms in Ontario.

Afternoon Tea is still a real tradition at the Prince of Wales hotel, you’ll feel like you’ve travelled back in time visiting a European tea room, accompanied by a sophisticated atmosphere and decadent decor. Served on silver-tiered trays, bite-sized cakes and light sandwiches are the perfect pairings when sipping on a traditional English tea in The Drawing Room.
