We ordered dinner delivered 'al fresco' while staying @a romantic B&B. The shrimp spring rolls (2 per order) were HUGE. I per... person as appetizer was plenty! Could have doubled the shrimp & cilantro content however very fresh tasting & loaded withcarrot, cucumber & greens. We didn't care 4 the peanut sauce but preferred the sweet chili sauce instead (very spicy!) We sharedthe lemongrass chicken noodle bowl which was very flavorful! I ordered the pho with beef balls and steak it wasn't bad but it wasn't the best either however it was a top 3 for all of the... Fraser Valley the service wasn't bad nice and friendly staff . One thing I didn't like was that our pho was served with cilantroand lemon with bean spouts I personally would have preferred Thai basil lime and bean sprouts like a more traditional pho I'mnot knocking this place down because I feel that they can improve on the little things to make it better . I have been enjoying the great food and friendly service at Vi La Palace for over 10 years. The reason I am writing this review... because we recently returned from a 10 day tour of Vietnam and I did not have any food in Vietnam that was as good as Vi LaPalace. I wanted other people to know and also I wanted to congratulate the staff at the restaurant. The food is consistentlyvery tasty, made with great care and the service is top notch. I recently talked to the chef and shared with him my experiencesin Vietnam. I asked him how long he cooked the broth for his beef Pho and he said 10 hours. No wonder the flavor is so good!Kudos for making such delicious food. Read more

Granted all i have tried from this restaurant is the bbq pork fried rice. Ill start with the good that bbq pork was amazing... perfectly cooked tasty and lots of it. The rice was cooked perfectly. The veggies were from a frozen mix pack which was ok as ithink thats pretty standard plus the dish was $14 which is pretty good. Unfortunately as i approached the bottom there was apool of oil, so much so that held at an angle you could see it flowing. I get that fried rice needs oil but i have never had somuch oil in a fried rice before, and i dont like drinking oil. Upon entering the restaurant, the interior is clean, sleek, and with dark rich hues. Customer service was quick and also matter... of fact, while being courteous and attentive. The menus were easy to read, even though I have not had much Vietnamese cuisineand didn't quite know what everything necessarily was. I ordered the 34, which was grilled pork and vermicelli noodles. Theflavour was entirely in the pork, which carried the spice and sweetness of the dish. The meat then coupled with the peanuts tocreate a salty-sweet dance of flavour. Otherwise, the dish was bountiful with vegetables and the taste reflected that. The thingthat I didn't enjoy were the noodles, because I felt that they were compacted together and colder than the rest of the dish. Been ordering their takeout for some time now, decided to go there for lunch today! The restaurant is small but super packed... with customers. The food was warm and delicious as usual. I love how they don?t make your soup spicy and give the hot sauce onthe side, so you can put however much you like. We got a house beef pho and chicken pho. Perfect food, especially for a rainyday. All the food I got tonight was old / over cooked and just unpleasant. Not sure if that is the normal fare. But take out was... really bad. Got home ate not more than 2 bites. The beef is black and old you can see in the photos and that chicken has beencooked twice for sure Buyer beware Notice that there is zero reply from the owner as they must not care about the quality orcustomer satisfaction. Yet on the Five star reviews the owner jumps in for a "thanks". I would never recommend you eat at thislocation. Zero stars. Read more

They have a beautiful waitress. She is so sweet, and her service is excellent. I ordered house special pho and deep fried quail.... I do not like the pho. The broth is relatively plain. The beef is too chewy. The deep fried quail is good, but not surprising,taste just like lemon grass grilled chicken. Read more
