My boyfriend and I went here because the photos looked delicious and we were pleasantly surprised! We got breakfast: bean and... corn omelet/stuffed French toast/ crepe and they were all amazing! The omelet was something to try on a whim and it was the bestdecision! Things you think shouldn't mix, she makes them fit flawlessly! The French toast was strawberry stuffed ( with astrawberry jam type she makes herself! ), and the crepe was sweet, but not enough to overpowering. She makes as much as she canfrom scratch and uses fresh farm eggs and vegetables, all for the best flavors! I will definitely go back! Read more

[Update] I finally had a chance to go back. I was the only one there at first. Service was good. I had the Turkey sandwich lunch... special with apple coleslaw. The food was good. [Old review] I don't normally give 1-star reviews, but in this case I will.Today (Friday) my wife and I went to Gilou's to eat. We sat down outside. The waitress got our drink orders. She brought themback and we were still deciding on the order. It was a long time before she returned. It got busy. Lots of people gettingcheck. After probably 20 minutes she came back, got order, and we wait....and wait...and wait. Finally we decided to leave(some others got up to leave) after almost 1.5hrs. On the way out I asked if our order was ready to box up. The waitress saidit should almost be ready. The lady doing the cooking said that they didn't have anymore pesto chicken. At no time did anyonetell us that they were going to run out of pesto chicken. We left angry. At some point I'll go back and give it a chance, butit will be awhile. I know the pandemic has made things difficult. Telling us that things are taking a long time and giving usan option to leave sooner (to go back to work) would not have made us angry. I probably wouldn't be leaving this 1-starreview. C'est la vie. Read more

Excellent breakfast food with FARM EGGS. Delicious food and a nice fresh salad with the omelette. Owner was very friendly and... polite and customized our order with a smile. Nice, very clean, and nice atmosphere. Very reasonable cost for breakfast ($10total for both) and 10% discount if you pay in cash. Will be stopping here every time we pass by on 81! Read more

Fantastic food with fantastic prices! This is a lovely little Cafe, very clean and bright with welcoming staff. The food was... delicious and I definitely recommend anyone to go there that hasn't already been. With all the busy and expensive restaurants inabingdon, it's nice to have a simple and quiet Cafe to sit and relax. Read more

My mom and I were searching for someplace a little different and boy did we find it! We love Gilous'! We've been there twice.... First time got burgers with a french touch. Yummy! We liked both choices. Next time mom got another burger and I got the chickenNicoise ( another winner!) and molten brownie with their delicious coffee. Omgoodness! Can't wait for the opportunity to go back-- I'm gonna try the Savoy! Read more
