Came in at 0355 and sat within 15 feet of two employees, only one other customer. They ignored me until 0406 without even a... hello. At 0407 they acknowledged me and took my order. Food was good some of the staff really didn't seem to have a care in the world. The restaurant was packed no clean tables. While... waiting on a table to be cleaned 3 of the staff members decided they all needed to take a smoke break together at the same time.But I will say one of the cooks I think his name was Troy took it upon him self to clean a table and take our orders. I reallyappreciate the work ethic and customer care he give and made sure under the circumstances we were taken care of while the actualall the other servers decided to go smoke at one time while customers were waiting. I hope management here realizes what anasset Troy is to their restaurant. Its not often that I will give an exceptional tip but with the service he give us this wasone time I made sure he was rewarded for his hard work. i usually love waffle house, i'm from new york so it's nice when i go down and visit to eat at a waffle house, not this one. The... food made me absolutely sick, vomited everything i ate as soon as i got back from the grocery store. It's not clean and the cookwas chewing gum.. gross. Read more
We all have certain expectations when we go out to eat, to each their own, but for me I feel like it's different for every... place. The things that matter to me are cleanliness, good and timely table side manner and food I want to eat. And this locationchecked all my boxes. Only thing I didn't love is there were rubbery bits in my grits that I assume was from the edge of thecontainer, but everything else was hot ready and satisfying and our server was just the right amount of tentative. Went inside and was told we could sit anywhere but none of the available tables were cleaned yet. One person cleaned a single... table that we sat down at and then nobody ever came to the table after that to wait on us. We ended up just leaving. This is a brand new location so I'll cut them some slack. The menu has been pared down and changed. Lettuce and onionis are now... chopped up for burgers. Before, you got a decent sized piece of lettuce and a slice of each. Hashbrown toppings are individuallypriced. The food was okay overall but the service was slow. I ordered a cheeseburger without onions or tomatoes and explainedthat onions is a food allergy. I and a regular order of hashbrowns with it. My husband got a ham and cheese omelette plate. Hishashbrowns were chunked. There weren't any problems with his meal. He said it was good and liked it. Mine however... The burgercame out with onions and a large slice of tomato on it. I saw it immediately and feel she should have too. Before I could sayanything she walked off. Another server came immediately when I flagged ours. She immediately apologized and whisked the plateaway. I heard her explain about food allergies to our server and she came over and apologized. Finally the burger arrived. Nolettuce but I let that go. It was cooked okay but just barely. She said the hashbrowns were coming. Several minutes later I geta plate of warm soggy hashbrowns that weren't even browned. I asked for the mustard ahead forgotten earlier. The serviceoverall was slow even though they weren't busy. There was a small family, the two of us and another patron. All of the negative comments are clearly from people who have never been to a waffle house before. Some people love it, some... people hate it. If you like waffle house this one is as good as any of the others. If you go for breakfast on the weekend it'sgoing to be crowded, just like everywhere else in town. Service is on par with every other waffle house I've ever been to. Thestaff is always friendly. Like I said though, it's a waffle house. It's not the cleanest restaurant, or the restaurant with thebest service, or the best food. Personally I love it, but if you go there looking for something different from what it is youmight have a bad time. Read more
