Quite busy when we arrived, but we took a drink and waited outside as the weather was nice. Once we got our table, our party of... 4 ordered immediately. What a treasure to come across. We had the chicken and it was cooked to perfection. Great restaurant! Good menu with lots of options. When we pulled up, it smelled so good....and the food tasted exactly/better... than we would expect. The smoked brisket Mac n cheese was delish...the portions of prime rib were HUGE. Everything was great. When in the area, we will be back. Read more

We have driven by this place many times on our way to and from Lake Michigan. Saturday night we hiked at the Lake and decided to... stop here for dinner. We checked in and waited about 20 minutes for a table. We had a couple seats at the bar and enjoyed acouple of excellent cocktails while waiting. The place was full of mostly locals who were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyeddelicious prime rib, soup, salad, waffle and sweet potato fries. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. Our first time here. Cute, clean, updated dining room. Food was fantastic. We ordered the onion rings, fish variety platters,... and desserts. Lots of potato choices, including German potato salad, potato pancakes etc. Cole slaw tasted very fresh.Everything was cooked perfectly! Poppy seed torte tasted homemade. Deserves more than 5 stars!
