What a fiasco...a friend and I met for dinner. I let him choose the location since he is from Adrian...and I had been to the... Brooklyn and Milan location so I assumed everything would be okay...guess someone should have pinched me and woke me up. Myfriend arrived early and let me know he was inside...I assumed they would have seated him right away since he eats there quiteoften. I entered to find him him standing near the hostess desk and they took the party behind him, guess everyone needs to bethere before they seat you. Once seated with our menus we were told who our server would be...both of us were hungry so we werelooking at the menu. Server came over took our drink order and she would be back to take our order. I wanted the prime rib, baked potato and coleslaw...only to find out my request to have it my way, was not possible...funny how Outback and TexasRoadhouse can help meet my dietary issues, but not JR's...all I wanted was the salt washed off my baked potato and my prime ribnot to be over seasoned. My friend was amazed they would hear of it knowing that the last time we went to Texas Roadhouse inNovi last month they didn't even bat an eye lash at my request. Asked for the menu again to find something I could eat thatwouldn't upset my stomach, I chose the sirloin, beer battered fries, and coleslaw. Wanted the sirloin medium well done. Whenour food arrived my friend's was missing the dipping sauce and my sirloin was rare, so I sent it back but grabbed my coleslawsince I was quite hungry by now. They took the steak and fries back to cook it better, the person who delivered it agree it wasnot medium well done. She returned with it and I cut into it again, still not medium well done so back it went. It wasreturned to me cooked the way I wanted, but my fries were cold since they had been on the plate over fifteen minutes... didn'teat them because of that...plus when I said something when the server came with another ice tea I was not heard Read more

The food was good, too many up charges though, like 50 cents for dipping sauce for sweet potato fries and extras for the French... dip. Good menu, lots of choices. The temperature of the restaurant was ungodly!! I froze!!! I couldn't get done eating quickenough. Our waitress was the one shining ????. She was very personable and quick. Checked up on us frequently. Read more

I originally found out about JR's online and wanted to go for my birthday dinner, but I found out that the Brooklyn location was... going to be closed at that time. I contacted the manager on FB and was sent vouchers to use at another time. Today, we wentfor dinner. I got prime rib, baked potato, and side salad. My husband got a full rack of ribs, baked potato, and cole slaw. Wegot lemonade and sweet iced tea. The prime rib was cooked perfectly medium rare as ordered. I tasted the ribs, and we agreedthey were the best we have ever had. My husband said the same about the sweet iced tea. We also got an appetizer: cheeseplanks that were very good and different from just cheese sticks, a pleasant surprise. All our condiments were provided withoutasking and the service was superb! We will be back and look forward to checking their carrot cake-- we were just too full toget any tonight. lol Read more

We were in Adrian adventuring last weekend and before we'd gone I looked online for restaurants we hadn't been to before and... found JR's. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it did not disappoint. The server was very nice and made somedecent recommendations. We checked out the menu which has a nice variety. We also noted there was a special which was anappetizer and two entrees for $22.00, so we decided on that. Started with a chip and queso basket which was very good. For theentrees my wife got the chicken tenders and beer battered fries, and I got the wet burrito. Definitely two more home runs: theburrito was massive and came with cheese, lettuce and tomato on top, ground beef and refried beans inside (you can also get itwith chicken), and salsa and sour cream on the side. Everything was tasty; I actually could not finish it, that's how big itwas. The wife's chicken was also great: decent sized tenders in a light but crisp batter. The fries were amazing, a revelation:longer slices of potatoes about the width of a steak fry but not quite as thick. Cooked perfectly crisp outside and light andfluffy inside. Safe to say we enjoyed everything and will for sure stop in again next time we're down that way. Read more
