This is a provisional 5-star based on one very important thing: they need to make the ticketed events 12+ years of age. We... booked an anniversary date night at a culinary destination restaurant so screaming babies are not appropriate. Simply mentionthis role while booking and the annoyance and disappointment for all the other guests will be gone. The food will be centerstage once again. The rest of the review: foraging menu was excellently creative. We drove 3 hours to try this place and thewhole time we were worried that we might have over committed. As of the appetizer course we knew it wasn't a mistake. There areso many factors that go into a meal like this and a whole heck of intangible value too - timings, horticulture, preparationskill, confidence, staff, etc... Ultimately it's all pulled off in a creative and relaxed way but I know it takes a lot ofplanning and work to make this good for the guests. My wife and I drove up to Nova Scotia from Boston, 13 fun filled hours, until we reached Advocate, the lovely fishing village on... the Bay of Fundy and parked beside the Wild Caraway and ventured under the hops into the best damn restaurant I ever ate in. Wehad several meals, lunches and dinners, all were excellent, some were the best we ever ate. The chowdah (as we say in Boston)was simply the best I ever tasted and I've tasted plenty. All the food was very creative, tasty and colorful. This is the bestrestaurant we have ever eaten at, period. Chef Andrew and Sarah have created gem in the incredible beauty of Advocate.
