Not a good experience with the 'Fine Dining' option of this place. Reservation at 7.30pm. It was a Friday night and only 4... tables were taken. You would think that service would be fairly quick then. Instead we got our drink (2 beers, very long toprepare apparently) at 8.15pm (!!!) and some bread at 8.30pm. We finally got our starter around 8.45pm (gooda fondue, which wasgood). We got our entrees at 9.15pm and thought it wasnt great. The Steak diane was too salty and overpriced for the quality ithought. The waitress was nice but overall terribly slow service (from past reviews it sounds like its been like this for years)and food a little overpriced. The waitress did apologize for the long wait but there was no discount or anything offered (freedrink, free dessert, etc) We won't be back. Read more
Eh, I was underwhelmed with the food, I had the Angus burger, medium. It was salty and easily medium well, fully cooked in the... middle, no sign of pink. The French fries were soggy and only mildly seasoned. The kids portions were pretty large but theyseemed happy enough with the food. The patio, albeit since it is next to the water, was heavy on flies that made sitting outsidemore of a nuisance than a pleasure. Read more
We found this great place on a motorcycle ride last year and had to come back. The turkey burger is the best I have EVER had!... The apple slices and jam stuff they put on it is amazing! Tried to make my own and it wasn't the same. Guess I'll just have tokeep Goin back. Lol Read more
I never leave one star reviews. Until today. Ate at The Current yesterday and while the waitress was kind, she said a party in... the adjoining Afton House has just placed their order after I inquired about the appetizer which was ordered exactly one hourago. The gouda fondue was mealy and luke warm. The entrees arrived shortly after and the Prime burger was cooked to order andexcellent. Feeling for the waitress, we left a 35% tip and said we’ll be back tomorrow. Came back this evening. The bartendergreeted us and said the hostess will be right with us. We were seated on the patio and handed menus. We waited. And waited. Thebartender came out and got drinks and the food order from a couple seated after us. Waitresses buzzed around but nobody said aword to us. It was like we were invisible. Our waitress from the night before came by twice to nearby tables and wouldn’t evenlook at us, let alone say something like “hey, we’re busy, I’ll be with you shortly” After 15 minutes of beingcompletely ignored we left. It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon and we found this wonderful restaurant. I didn’t get a picture of our first item, it was... there chowder. It was great the base was very creamy in texture but it tasted lemony. We knew we were in for a fun afternoon!! Read more
