The Main Street Grill never disappoints. Tucked into the tiny hamlet of Afton, NY ,we were fortunate to get a dinner reservation... for 4 pm on a Thursday evening. Very busy, but for an obvious reason: the food is delicious. I had the burger, absolutely outstanding. Then, on a splurge, I... had the coconut cream pie. Again, phenomenal. Highly recommend this place to grab some bakery items or to have a relaxinglunch or dinner. You will be glad you did. Read more
The food is divine, and the staff are so kind. We could tell it was a busy night and we got seated just before closing, but even... still the staff was still so kind and helpful. Amazing find! Should be on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I recommend the Buffalo wings appetizer and vegetable panini. Wish we... had time for the deserts. I'll be back for the coconut cream pie, coconut cake, carrot cake and all of the other crazy treatsthey've got in the bakery. Read more
Stopped here for lunch on way back to Ohio. Great small town cafe serving tasty lunches from a good size menu. But wait, don't... leave without grabbing a dessert from the bakery case. What a bonus! Prices are not as marked in the menu. Credit and Debit card customers have to pay a higher amount but it is not marked anywhere... on the menu, website or in person. No where is any extra charges listed. Nor do they inform you when ordering. Plus a servicecharge for using your credit card. 2 items cost almost $10 more than what is listed in the menu. 2 sandwiches was over $30.After questioning it you are left feeling like an idiot by the staff. The manager did refund me the over charges "to make mehappy" instead of what was right. If I took someone's money without there knowledge I would be charged with a crime. Imagine howlong this has been happening to unsuspecting people. Food was sub-par at best. Desserts looked great but small portions for "$6or $7" was to much. Read more
