First time I came here with friends and it was during their happy hour. I ordered variety of their kushikatsu (vegetable and... meat on skewer and it was deep fried) i ordered mushroom, soft shell crab, eggplant and some meat and aside from this we got shredded cabbage. Everything are delicious, only downside is, a little bit pricey. Our food server was great and very attentive.Would definitely go back to try other things on their menu. Read more

Taste 9/10, authenticity 8/10, service 9/10, atmosphere 8/10. Overall the food was great. The tonkatsu(deep fried pork) and... ebi(shrimp) were both fantastic. I also appreciated the great kushi katsu. Most things you get here will be deep fried, so itis very approachable, even for picky eaters. However, don't expect much variety in menu choices. Even though some things werenot 100% equivalent to in-country Japanese standards, they were close. My katsu came out in smaller individual fried pieces,rather than one large piece being cut into smaller ones. While the rice and cabbage were all you can eat, the miso soup wasnot. The tsuskemono were not your typical Japanese pickles, the most obvious being kimchi. Also, the kushi katsu we'resomewhat light on the batter, but still paired well with the sauce. The kushi katsu choices were all authentic, which I wasvery happy to see. Outside of these narrow deviations, this restaurant stays true to authenticity. We decided to try this place in Pearlridge. We waited for someone to notice us standing inside to be seated. Once they noticed... us, the server was amazing. He was really friendly. We wanted to try the soft shelled crab but they didn't have any. We got theebi fry with pork katsu and the chicken katsu curry. My daughter doesn't eat chicken katsu curry but she enjoyed it. I tried itand it was good. The ebi fry was good. The pork katsu was okay but we couldn't eat some of them because the pork was hard. Theygive lots of cabbage and the sauces is really good. Miso soup was okay. The sides were delicious. It's a little pricy but theygive a lot. Plating looks great. I think that since they have a happy hour menu, they shouldn't be out of something thatcustomers would like to try. Overall it was a good experience. Read more

Food was delicious, service was professional and friendly, price was solid for the quality and quantity. And they had Asahi on... draft! The restaurant is clean and quiet (at least it was today at 12:30 ish). In our search for the top notch Japanese stylecurry this is the Best curry katsu I?ve had (so far). I had the chicken cutlet and The Boy had the pork cutlet we also couldn?tpass up on a bit of the kashikatsu, we got a shishito pepper and a soft shell crab.. if you like katsu or curry and especiallycurry katsu you need to stop by this place. I plan on another visit during happy hour (2-4 I think) and get various items at 20%off and to explore the menu some more. Read more
