For the last 20 years been enjoying different kind of saimins here. My favorites are Japanese shrimp, Pork adobo & Chicken... cutlet Saimins. All saimins are garnishes with won ton,won bok, char siu & spam on top of piping hot rich broth is satisfying &slurpy onolicious! Whichever one selected, the main ingredient comes on the side. Their Hawaiian plate is also tasty. The priceis right, service is quick & servers are friendly too. Read more

I don't eat beef or pork. I place simple order Siamin with chicken. They give me pork all over the place. I pulled the pork and... tried. Wow what a waste of money. This taste horrible veggies look old. How this place is still open I have no idea. I willnever be coming back to this place. I would rather them heat up a cup of noodle soup and serve that instead of what they servedme. Yikes people need to get out more see there is more out there then this. Read more

Best Saimin I had in a long time, good to be back home on the island where they get it right.

I had never had saimin before, but was pleasantly surprised. There was a large variety of ingredients in the bowl, and the... broth was made from an excellent tasty dashi base. While I wouldn't consider the ingredients to be "high quality" in thetraditional sense, I felt that wasn't the point of saimin. It really seems like a hodgepodge of lots of random ingredients (eg.Lunch meat and wontons) that somehow come together to create an extremely comforting and filling bowl of goodness. It is myunderstanding that saimin is an "old-timey" food, and despite the fact that it was my first time trying it, the old andnostalgic feel and taste to the dish shined through brightly. The bowl served to me was more than a dish, it was an experienceof sorts that transported me to an era from before I was born. Concerning the restaurant itself, the service was very friendlyand the menu was huge. Overall a great first saimin experience for this mainlander. Read more

This is a hidden gem, locals place, with really good Hawaiian home style food. I tried the Lau Lau with beef stew plate and it... was delicious. The prices are very reasonable. The wait person was friendly and very efficient. Quick service on the food. Read more

9/4/2021 Stopped by because the husband was starving. He got a Chicken Cutlet and four Homemade Lumpia. He enjoyed his cutlet!... The lumpia was stuffed & delicious but pretty oily compared to Elena's (since we had theirs a few weeks ago). 7/8/2021 We werewandering around, trying to decide where to get take out from. Shiro's looked good! He picked the Pork Belly Kawali and I choseBreaded Cod with brown rice. There were 4 pieces of cod on some shredded cabbage along with my brown rice and potato spaghettinoodle salad. The cod was crispy but not overcooked or oily. Yum! The brown rice was fluffy and not dried out or crunchy. Andthe potato and spaghetti noodle salad had just the right amount of mayonnaise. Everything was ono! This may be one of myfavorite breaded & fried fish plates! Read more
