I?ve been wanting to try this place for a while. Let?s start with the positives. The place was pretty clean. Seemed to be run... perhaps by a husband and wife team, guy cooking and woman serving. Woman was friendly. Bathroom was clean. I ordered tea and aglass of water. She did not bring me my water. I ordered eggs Benny done medium. At first she did not seem to understand what Imeant by medium poach. She didn?t seem to understand my questions about whether the potatoes were shredded pan fried ordeep-fried.Eventually my eggs Benny came very much of a soft side. The potatoes were completely tasteless. Not really deep-friedbut not pan fried either. If they had a taste, it was grease. I had to ask again for my cup of water. She never came back andasked me how my meal was as I would?ve told her. The benny tasted OK if you like a lot of yolk and was hot. The potatoes weretasteless and I couldn?t eat them. My first time here, as the place I was heading to was closed. As we passed it along the way, we decided to drop in, as my friend... and I were very hungry at this point. So happy we did. We had amazing service (thank you Linette!!). Food was fantastic. Pricewas amazing. And portion size was mind blowing!!! I totally recommend this place to everyone. I will be back. Todays visit was a hopeful redemption from our take out. As much as I love to support the smaller mom and pop shops, when this... place is busy the quality of food is compromised. Service is as good as it gets from this size of a diner. Small wait, but myson really wanted the chocolate chip pancakes. He doesn?t eat bananas, so I asked for no banana-guess how it came? No followup. No biggie, it was an edible topping. My eggs were overdone. Toast and home fry under cooked. Sausages however are amazing.Will I come back-likely. Just keep in mind if it?s busy-food comes out quick and fair to moderate quality. Read more
