It feels like a student-run restaurant. I arrived at 9:15 pm on a Friday night and nobody was at the front desk. I had to wait... and waive at somebody to notice me. The waitress said that they are short on staff but I can sit at the bar, and BTW the kitchencloses at 9:30. The bar tender had no clue what to do, didn’t wipe down the counter and filled my glass half way. I had to askhim to fill it up. The food is nothing extraordinary. I ordered the risotto that came out in about 5 miutes and it was obviouslynot freshly made). For $24 it was pretty bland and I almost couldn’t finish it. This is a amateurish-run place without any“upscale” feeling to it. It has run-down decor and it is definitely overpriced. You don’t get what you pay for. I give twostars because the staff were nice. We came on a Friday evening, had a reservation. We sat on the patio, such a cool ambience with the sun set and all the plants.... Great service. The food was delicious - the buratta was creamy and accompanying pesto flavorful, the duck fat potatoes wereabsolutely delicious, and the scallops were very large and perfectly cooked. There's free parking in the area, as well as valet.This will likely be one of our go to spots in the future! My husband and I spent our 1st time here on our 29th Wedding Anniversary on Friday Aug. 13th. Our server Greg was awesome! Staff... were very attentive. Always kept our glasses full of water and dishes clear from our table. The Mussels were the best we've everhad. The broth was amazing. My husband said he'd drink it if he were at home lol. We shared the 21 Vegetable Salad which wasquite refreshing ???? Hubby had the special of the night "Grouper with Jambalaya" he loved it. He'd never had Grouper before. Itried a trio sampler of Pasta dishes that were all full of flavor and creamy and delicious ???? We will definitely be going backon another special occasion ???? Read more
It’s always a treat to dine at DBA. Atmosphere is great!!!! Food is outstanding!!!! Service has always been good!!! Be sure... to go early or stay late to visit the Speak Easy Bar next door which is also part of DBA. May I recommend ordering a New YorkSour there. *muwah* Read more
