I work at the building next door, and since almost a year ago now, this has been my ABSOLUTE favorite place to get lunch! The... food is always so fresh, and tasty!! The owner is an ABSOLUTE SWEETHEART, and so is everyone that works there. The kindest groupof people you will ever meet. If you're thinking about stopping here PLEASE DO! Awesome grilled cheese selection! They have over 15 different grilled cheese options. But I really like the traditional #1. Each... grilled cheese is served with goldfish crackers. The salads are also yummy! Service is always great!Seriously. This place is topnotch. I used to come here when it was Bilbo's Down Under, back when I was in college. I really liked it then. This place is okay ... in a pinch if you're starving it's quick and convenient if you're right in the neighborhood . basically... everything they sell is exactly the same and everything pretty much cost $6.50. Like I said above, in a pinch it's great. Iwouldn't make it a point to go to this restaurant. In fact, I believe you would be pretty disappointed. Read more
I've been working in downtown Akron for at least 23 years. I have been a patron of Street Treats Grill for as long as they've... served food downtown (8-10 years?). I eat in this establishment at least 3 times a week. PERSONAL SERVICE: First and foremost, I have always been impressed with the owner's (Mark) personable and sincere approach to his customers, just not me, everybody!This personable approach is shared and extended to customers through the employees. The support staff is excellent. With all thefood orders ( which would have to number in the 100s) I've placed with Street Treats Grill over the years, I cannot remember 1mistake in my order.That is remarkable! QUALITY OF FOOD: The quality of food is outstanding! This is a sandwich spot that has anexcellent and extensive menu. I like the breakfast sandwiches, chicken pita sandwiches, beef hot dogs and chicken salads. Pricesare very reasonable! I'm going to review the salad dressings. A friend of mine loves white french, so I bought her a bottle at Marc's. She raved... about it, so I bought a bottle for myself. Way too sweet for me. It does make an awesome dressing for cole slaw. Since myheritage is Greek, I decided to try the Greek dressing. I had my home grown tomatoes and cucumber, and some red onion. I addedkalamata olives, and green olives and a whiff of powdered oregano. Put on some Ya Yas Greek dressing. Tossed everything andtopped it with feta. I like fresh ground pepper, so I added that. I dug in and thought WHAT?. It was so sweet, I couldn't eveneat it. In a word, it was terrible. I have eaten home made Greek dressing for 80 yrs...this is not Greek dressing. Oh well,$5.00 wasted. I guess I should have known when yia yia was misspelled that something was wrong. I am very happy you aresuccessful, and I wish you future success, but I will not be part of that success Read more
