We had come in out of the cold, it was just minutes before close and they served us with hospitality, smiles and excellent food.... The owner was bringing in Christmas decor for the holiday and we enjoyed watching them begin to put it together while we ate andhad coffee. They did not rush us away, they made us feel welcomed. Absolutely disgusting! No meal out of 4 ordered was good. They were all cold when received. The table cloths were filthy and had... food on them when arrived. The only thing good I have to say is the serving staff were extremely nice and good at what they do.We had a room rented for a birthday party so it was a decent size group and the waitresses really held it down. Waterloo catered my wedding at Hale Farm yesterday, and I can't say enough great things about them. Everything was phenomenal. I... had many guests tell me it was the best wedding food they've ever had (and I totally agree!). Chef John and his team areprofessional, polished, attentive, and hard working. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised. I know the clientele trends very old and the menu items are dated (not so much for this... area though) and we stayed away because of that but you know what it is a clean comfortable place 2 blocks from my house. Haven't been here since the pandemic started, but I wished that I had come back sooner. Love the new style of the place. Feels... very modern and contemporary without losing the charm of being the Waterloo. Waitress was super nice and knowledgeable aboutthe food. Food came out in 15ish minutes so not a long wait. I got the BIG bacon burger and it didn't disappoint on the name. Very thick and crunchy bacon with a lot of flavor. Burger itself was decent though it could've used more seasoning. Thechipotle mayo sauce though was amazing. Fries were pretty good and well seasoned. Could've been a bit more crispy. Overall,I'm quite satisfied. Great food, very cordial staff. Have eaten there many times over the years. The French onion soup is the best or try the bison... burger. I'm vegan now but often enjoyed it while I was still a meat eater. Read more
It was incredibly beautiful here. They had already decorated for the holidays. Our server was incredible and she was really... kind. She was incredibly sweet, too. And she did a wonderful job at assuring that myself and the other people at the classreunion were well taken care of. I hope the server who took care of us during my class reunion on November 12th gets treatedreally well by management and by all the patrons who have the pleasure of having her serve her.
