Only call Alameda New York Pizza if you want to be accused of theft and left hungry. After two hours and no food I cancelled my... order. That was my second call and both times I was told my pizza was on the way. Five minutes later the driver called from thestore and said that we took the pizza from him without paying him. He kept insisting over and over that he had delivered to ourhouse and we had taken the pizza without paying him. He said that he rang our front doorbell and gave the pizza to an "oriental"lady. When I informed the driver I didn't have a doorbell which is why the delivery instructions said to call, that I'm on thesecond floor which was also listed on the address (so no front door), and that there's no Asian ladies in my house, heimmediately changed his story to say that he did call (he didn't) and he walked up the steps. I told him that he brought thepizza to the wrong house and it was his fault if he didn't get paid. I suggested that he go back to wherever he went and try toget money. He basically reiterated back to me that that's what he was going to do and I said "yeah, that's a great idea! Becausewherever it was it wasn't my house!" Fifteen minutes later someone else from the store calls me and tells me that the driverdelivered to the wrong house. "I know" I said. They offered to make me another pizza but I told them absolutely not the way theyhandled the who situation was completely unprofessional and hung up. I don't like to be rude to customer service people but allI wanted a cheese pizza, not attitude and accusations. This was also incredibly frustrating because this means that managementdidn't really bother to look into my order until I called to cancel it. If you call to check they just say "yeah it's on theway". I'm thankful I chose the cash option. During this whole ordeal he ordered and had Thai food delivered instead. Read more
People that run the place are terrible. I had finally found a place with decent pizza that was somewhat consistent. Found they... were listed on grub hub, so I started using that since it's easier to pay with a card (it takes them ~6 tries to understand itover the phone) . One night I place an order and it takes excessively long. Finally shows up and it's burned to a crisp with thecrust cut off all the way around. Reviewed on that order, and they now refuse to deliver to me. Read more
