Food is delicious, the young guys that work there are really nice, the woman who works there is really nice. The older... gentleman, who appears to be the owner, is a rude A-Hole. While I was there he reprimanded the woman working behind the counterfor talking to me - apparently our conversation caused him to become to confused about the order he was preparing so he lashedout at her verbally. I felt uncomfortable, and the woman left her station and went outside the store. Then he made fun of mefor forgetting to put my name on my sandwich order slip. ?There?s always one of THOSE? he said sarcastically while he called out?no name, no name? over and over. I was one of two customers waiting for food. There was no mystery who the order wasfor. Super negative energy overall. I just wanted to pick up a sandwich, I don?t understand why this guy had to make theexperience so unpleasant. Read more

I drove here 2 times from Oakland and both times they were out of bread . What? Bread is cheap! They can?t buy extra bread , so... there is no turning customers away! They must be rich , don?t need more customers. Read more

If you want a REAL, AUTHENTIC Italian Deli sandwich, this is the ONLY place to go in Alameda. Sandwiches are always PACKED with... premium meats. If you're lucky enough to go on a lasagna day, just get some and thank me later. Love the small, hometown feeltoo. Read more

Best Italian Deli/sandwich shop in Alameda! Our first time there and we were received first class service, my turkey with... pepper jack on seeded sour dough - EVERYTHING is fresh!! The staff are fantastic, Heidi, Mike and RJ. They make you feelspecial, let us know best times to come and off menu items (hot food) prepared FRESH weekdays. The... atmosphere is that hard to find authentic delicatessen and Italian family run business. It feels like a hole in the wall in SF.Make sure to order ahead.
