Authentic German food served in a festive atmosphere. Today was a special Oktoberfest day so there was live music and dancing... plus a limited menu and mostly disposable dishware. The sausages were excellent as was the fresh side of carrot salad. Thepotato salad was a little mushy and not as tangy as the carrot salad. The spaetzle and meatballs were ok. Went here for dinner and they have a St. Patrick's Specials. At first we thought the place will be pretty ratchet but we are... quite surprised that its nice and not the usual place you'll think for a beer garden style. We had the corned beef and it wasgood, we also tried the Pretzel and it really is soo tasty, I ate half considering I am not a big pretzel fan. The Applestrudelis also very good! I was craving for a cheese platter, so we ended up eating here. I just wish there were more crackers, although we really like... the variety of fruits and dried fruits to go with the cheeses. They do have vegetarian entrees (one salad and the vegetablestrudel), we got the latter. It was good but not filling. We also got a bowl of the butternut squash soup (yes that one wasgood). We went on a relatively busy Saturday evening. The staff was super friendly and helpful in suggesting dishes. Their... recommendations checked out completely - the sausage and the pork chop were 100% delicious, and the sauces complemented thedishes perfectly. We also got a schnitzel, which was wonderfully crispy. While neither of us are huge beer fans I believe bothof us were quite satisfied with the one that we got! Came here for lunch on a Friday, no problems finding seating. Ordered the reibekuchen (potato pancakes), and the reuben... sandwich. The reuben sandwich was pretty large, and it was fantastic. Great service and the patio was dog friendly which was amajor plus! Read more
