I love the Rainbow Bowl, it’s is so delicious with a mix of several perfectly seasoned vegetables over rice. It’s like a... poke bowl without the fish. They also make delicious potato chips in house. Read more

Solid brunch spot. The corn fritters were fried to perfection. Came here at peak brunch hours on a Sunday and there was room to... sit which is always nice. Definitely would come back to explore some more of the menu Read more

The first time had a fabulous meal - 1/2 chicken and pork shoulder. The second time, special sliced prime rib sandwich, but not... as good as first meal. Nice staff though. Read more

We ate at Spinning Bones today for the first time. Everything was amazing. The service was fast and friendly. The ambiance is... casual and relaxed. But the best part is the food. Our appetizer (the goodies) was packed with flavor but well balanced. My wifegot the fat rice and she said it was better then her mom recipe (and that's the best compliment from her). I got a brunchspecial, the Loco moco, and it was one of the best things I ever tasted, rich, luxurious, and decadent; yes, it is very rich, don't buy it if you are on a diet, but if you are not on a diet you have to try it. We skipped the desert but they weretempting. Definitely will go back because there are a lot of things we want to try. The price is what to expect for this qualityand quantity. Read more

Playfully crafted, fun cocktails that pair well with their food, which happens to be a hidden gem of Alameda. Courteous service... that isn't obtrusive nor absent, i haven't dined with Spinning Bones since before the pandemic hit. Our go-tos are the Trip'sTriple, which gives you a trio assortment of moist, flavorfully cooked animal proteins with two piquant sauces (chimichurri orjalapeño Garum) and a side of tossed greens: the fried chicken sando (their mochiko chicken is so addictive): and their cornfritters, which are more like hush puppies than the Thai/Asian style corn fritters with loads of corn kernels and less batter, which come with a delightful house Made strawberry jam. The chicken lickin' appetizer is also a winner, with it's side ofhouse-seasoned Kewpie aioli. I recently had the Mi-Loc shochu cocktail, which was just the right balance of fun fruity flavorsand alcohol, served in an adorable Maneki Neko 'Money Cat' tiki mug, but more than one and you gotta stick your pinky out! Theiroutdoor seating doesn't have heaters, so dress warmly/bring a blanket! Read more

2nd timer and came here on Saturday at noon and it wasn't busy! This time we came for the burger which has been written about as... some of the best burgers in the east bay. And it's true! The burger was incredibly high quality. Toasted soft buttons. Qualitymeat and cheese. Perfectly seasoned. 1000 island dressing that's not overwhelming. And amazing pickled red onions. You can alsoadd fries for extra which isn't listed on the menu and the fries were perfectly crispy! I'll be back here for the burgers. Myfamily and I have had the roasted meats and other items on the menu but my favorite thing here is the burger. Read more

Me and my wife ordered chicken lickin for appetizers, koji chicken, black peppered beef for entree and salmon rice, smashed... potatoes as sides. We got our chicken lickin first which was very delicious we liked it then the sides came out first, we waitedfor awhile to get our entree and then finally my wife’s black peppered beef came out and was very dry and chewy we alreadyfinished our sides by then because the entree took forever to arrived, then I was told my chicken was still in the rotisseriecooking, finally chicken arrived and was somewhat raw and tasteless, came with side of salad that was super bitter andoverwhelming with vinaigrette. Bill came out to $110.00 for a service that was okey and entree that was almost seem likemicrowaved. The chicken lickin was bomb though and the sides were good. Just the entree was a lot of disappointing. Probably notgoing back there again. Expensive and no bueno! Read more
