Ordered a Grilled Chicken salad with extra dressng on the side to go. The guy packing things had my salad just sitting there... already in the bag. I assumed maybe it was not my salad and was waiting to put other's food. But no!! 25 minutes after ordering,I get the salad. The salad he had sitting there for almost 15 minutes was mine!! The $75 online spending limit is the most absurd thing I've ever encountered. Those of us with larger families should not have... to wait in the restaurant just to place an order. This is disappointing and probably the last time that we'll come to Habit. Read more
I know that In-and-out Burger is considered the pinnacle of California fast food culture but I like Habit Burger better. More... choices (and all of them are good), less messy, not much of a wait, usually friendly service, and the one in Alameda isconveniently located in the Alameda Landing shopping center. I had a nice ?Double Char? today and helped myself to someJalapeños to give it a little kick. The restaurant and self service area are always clean which contributes to an overallpleasant experience And the palm trees reflecting in the entrance door (see picture) enhance the California feeling. Justwaiting for The Beach Boys to show up So now a small modification: today was the first time I ran into a less friendlyassociate. He stood behind the counter looking at another customer and avoiding eye contact so I assumed he was still busy.After a little while I approached him - no friendly smile and we he said something that I could not hear with the backgroundnoise. I asked him to repeat and he said loudly and not in a friendly way ?Can I take your order?? Throughout the process heappeared slightly impatient. We got through it and when I came back a few minutes later to pick up my order, I could not seehim. Not a big deal and he may have had a bad day. We weren't certain where we were having dinner tonight but it ended up here. I got the number one, no pickles with cheese. My... husband got the number two with cheese. It was a bit upsetting that we couldn't substitute our drinks for the shakes. So weended up with both. Booths we got to choose from was dirty and it was only after we sat did a worker do their rounds to tidythe place up a bit. Food came out at a timely manner. Personally nothing special.
