I've been trying new things lately and have been pleased. Halal Grub will be on my list to stop back and eat the menu. The place... is clean, pleasantly greeted and the food was quick and tasty. Love love! Come up here and get the lamb plate with rice, raisins and carrots and the salad every two weeks! The spiced lamb is... always my favorite! I personally love lamb over any type of meat. It’s the same quality every time we go, the guys are so niceand remember us! The sauces that come with the dishes also are super tasty . Place was clean, food was fresh, even the side salad was green, fresh, crisp, clean.... That shouldn't really be considered a... miracle but I've gotten salads from a dozen different places on Wolf road and it's either wilted, brown, dark green from turningor just plain gross.... Very clean place. The food is not anything special. We got lamb over rice and it was pretty bland. The hot sauce tasted like... watered down buffalo sauce. I might be spoiled from halal trucks in the city, but this definitely did not hit the spot. Pricedid not match portion - food is spread thin on a wide plate to seem larger. Read more
Are you kidding? This is where the pics on the menu do not match what you receive in all the right ways! The flavors are rich,... the textures are perfect, the quantity is generous, the prices are fair, the owner is kind. What else is there to say, exceptwhy are you not in our neighborhood? Visiting Albany, we decided to stop at Halal Grub for some burgers. The place looked clean and inviting. There was ample seating... available and since it’s located in a plaza, there was parking available too. If you want to eat here, I suggest you call inadvance to order. We waited about 40 minutes for four burgers to come out. The server was polite and explained that they had alot of delivery orders to prepare. The meat in the burgers were fresh. The crispy chicken sandwich, however, left a lot to bedesired. It only had lettuce and tomato, and was pretty dry. The grub burger comes with onion rings in it. They have fountainsoda so you can refill your drinks but we found that we got full just from drinking soda while we waited for the food to comeout. The fries they serve are the typical seasoned fries. The food was okay but nothing amazing. I might be biased though sinceI have so many more options in NYC. Read more
I would NEVER recommend anyone going to this place. Found hair on the plate when ordered a chicken burger and the burger was... without any sauce and or pickle plus raw meat in both the burger and lamb wrap.... completely disappointed... they neverbothered coming out and apologize instead they stood inside watching me leaving....
