Came early on a Friday night and got seated right away. Started off with a pitcher of classic margaritas for the table. The... pitcher was good sized and enough for each of us (4) to have at least two full glasses. We got our food delivered to the tablereally quickly and we weren't disappointed. Each of us was very satisfied with our meals. We ordered churros for the table fordessert and they came with 3 sauces (caramel, peanut butter, and maybe a berry?) They were hot and delicious! I’ve been here twice. Once when it first opened over a year ago and once more to celebrate a friends birthday. The first time... I went it was Spring time and the outdoor seating and food was super impressionable. I’d always knew I’d come back multipletimes. The only reason I hadn’t made it back sooner is because the more popular it became, the busier and booked it was. Fastforward to celebrating my friends birthday. I made a reservation on Open Table via Google Maps and left a note regarding theneed for high chairs (just in case). When the restaurant opened I called, and informed them of the situation. I also called toinform them that I would be celebrating a birthday, her name is “Sasha” and I inquired about the availability of cake. Theyinformed me that Sasha would be greeted with a card, and that they do a desert brownie/cake for birthdays. I said great,perfect. They ensured me that they made these notes. We were running late so I called about two hours in advance to push thereservation back. Apologies (I was navigating hosting my best friends and two babies). On our way to our new reserved time, therestaurant called us to see if we were still on the way, and told them we were just two minutes out. When we arrived - they hada Birthday card at the table for Sasha. That was the end of all birthday festivities. After ordering the food, the restaurantdid not provide a birthday treat. It felt super awkward to have to remind or inquire about this in front of the Birthday Girl. Iconsider myself to be very outspoken but was quite embarrassed that my friend left without so much as a little birthday treat.It was truly a disappointing experience - choosing this restaurant to celebrate my friends birthday. I was depending on thisplace to not disappoint and unfortunately it did. The food was not disappointing. The prices, don’t believe was fair. First time there and wasn't disappointed. We had about a 30 minute wait so we we went to the bar. I ordered the prickly pear... hibiscus margarita and my hubby got ordered a captain and coke. My drink came with a candied hibiscus flower which was edibleand delicious. We started with apps which incredible. Beef braised nachos and the chicharonnes....yum. For our main entrees itwas such a hard decision for us both, so I got the roasted chicken enchiladas and he got the grilled mixed thing(can't rememberthe name) and we shared. The freshness and flavors in both dishes was amazing. We were too full to have dessert but we did bringhome the dessert nachos and I'm sure they taste as good as they look.
