Yesterday afternoon I was in Elmer?s in Albany Oregon awaiting a man who was coming back into my life. The girls that were... working there were so marvelous they knew I was a bit on the nervous side having not seen my biological father for 42 years. Wesat in our booth for a good 2 1/2 hours mostly talking but also delicious food I had a ?crabacado? omelette and my dad had crabBenedict. Our one charming waitress was good enough to take pictures of the two of us with my phone as well as his phone and thepictures came out good, I?m not photographic so I think I need to give her a big tip for working her camera magic on me. I gotta say, this is one of the best family restaurants we've eaten at ever. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly... and very accommodating. We made a few special requests and she delivered. Also, whoever the chefs are here, they are amazing!That was the best Eggs Benedict we've ever had. Perfectly poached eggs and amazingly crisp bacon. The clam chowder was yummy, so was the prime rib dip. The servers were extra nice and the staff sounded real happy when... interacting with each other, not like were forced to act happy. Tht strawberry lemonade tasted like straight strawberry jam withno lemon. The staff were too nice for me to want to say anything, but avoid the strawberry lemonade and you're in for a treat. I am in town for the weekend, I ordered an omelet with hash browns and the country biscuit breakfast. The only thing that was... not raw was part of the omlet, everything else was completely raw. Was visiting the area cause my company sent myself and some co workers...starting the day with a meal...couldn't have picked a... better spot. Staff was very helpful and had us seated in no time..menu in hand..we ordered.. I had some chicken fried steak thatcame with hashbrowns..eggs..and a buttermilk biscuit..guys got there food and were happy. Food was very good as well as theservice..would definitely recommend this place for the weary traveler to grub out and take in a inviting interior.
