Having not been to a sizzler in the past few years, we decided to give it a try. Steaks and salads sounded good. The "gentleman"... who took our order was semi rude and very business like. No smile, no social courtesy. We went to take a seat and found half ofthe restaurant reserved for a party we never saw the entire time we were there. We found the only clean table available (4 werenever cleaned by employees the entire visit however several customers were required to wipe down their own tables before theycould sit). We went to get our salads and there were no plates available. We waited. No waiter, no beverages. We tried again afew minutes later and found plates had been restocked. By the time we were done with our salads, the waiter arrived with ourbeverages. When our dinner arrived, we were thinking the lobster didn't look as big as on the menu board up front and the plateslooked unimpressive. (We both ordered streaks) My husband's potatoes were cold, but there was no one around to tell and no onechecked on us or asked how it tasted EVER. We were quite disappointed on our visit to Albany Sizzler this time. It is a place enjoyed for many years but this was first... return since the pandemic. Our complaint was the salad bar items being quite limited on variety and even worse the hot itemswere over cooked and litterally dried out. (Particularly the Corn Fritter & Chicken Nuggets). Just not excusable when it wasprime supper time. The steaks were cooked to perfection although we both felt it was lower grade meat which we gladly blamed onthe supply chain issues America has been and still is facing, not Sizzlers choosing, as they have always had perfect steaks.Lastly, our waiter went above and beyond to be helpful when, like fools, we forgot to get our drinks before seating. All inall, we will give it another try, but frankly, the salad bar is in serious need of quality control evaluation. Read more
The lobster tail was prefrozen and Luke warm when came to our tabel had paprika on it and was deshelled and tasteless.... Vegetables in salad bar were soggy and was not maintained and was mislabeled and empty bin all through out salad bar . Bakedpotatoe was good but sour cream was off tasting .Toast was to come with meal had to ask for it . Waitress only came by to giveus our meal . 5/1/22 4:00pm 2148 Santiam Hwy SE, Albany, OR 97322 Sizzler we drove all the way here from Vancouver Washington just to be... disappointed with not only the service of most but the food as well. The one that was supposed to take care of the salad barwent on l break without filling up the salad bar first. Manager: David All I got was one excuse after another when I brought upto him how the floors were greasy and the food was cold and old and out of the temperature danger zone. His excuse was he isshort handed and he is working three different positions. What troubles me the most is the temperature danger zone and thearguments I heard in the back with employees and managers duking it out. If I could hear it in the lobby who else can hearit? Host: Brandon Was dressed unprofessional, the way he represents the face of Sizzler as soon as someone walks through thatdoor should have a smile and dress appropriately. We enjoyed the salad bar. The atmosphere is wonderful. There was a pricing problem ???? the board quoted 11 dollars and some... change as a lunch price before 4pm. The hottest said because it was Saturday they charge dinner price of 14 something all daybut I didn't see that written on the board. Food awesome! Clean environment and food restocked often. It was $24 for 2 adults to eat the salad bar buffet . Which was very tasty. Not a great variety of other food, UT the salads... were very good. Read more
Service was slow. Waitress was visibly annoyed about a dietary restriction that I had asked to be considered before the food... came out and then had to have her take the food back because it was ignored. She also admitted that she forgot to bring outother food for people in my party. The manager was sitting near us and did nothing to help while he was filling out paperwork.So much for team work.
