This is a great little Mexican restaurant with the small town environment. It fits well in Albany. Though it may be your only... option for Mexican food, it's a worthy one. I love their homemade salsa. You can request their hot salsa that I believe is madewith fresh habaneros. The staff is very friendly. Read more

* Updating to a 4. My mom said he's a very nice man and she's known him for years. I had breakfast with a party of five on a... Saturday morning. Pros: -food was good and portions were big - appeared clean - prices were probably reasonable. 60 bucks for5 with drinks. - served quickly. Mild cons: - old house, so uneven floors - parking is unclear and stressful. Probably a mething. I like to know, clearly, where I can park. - I'm guessing the owner waited on us, which is great, but he didn'twrite anything down and got some of drinks wrong and left two things off the food. - and a final pet peeve of mine. 1 freedrink refill. Their drinks are really big, and I didn't even need a refill, but in Texas, tells Inhofe should always be free. This may be unrealistic these days, but still. - I asked for butter and he grabbed one that had some already opened, whichseemed unsanitary to me. He even mentioned it and said it was ok.. :) .. but I was not really comfortable with that, but itwasn't me eating it so didn't push it...haaaaa! Overall it was a good experience. I probably should give them 4 stars, and maychange later. Read more

The food was fantastic! Our service, on the other hand, not so much. I've never had someone argue with me about what I wanted to... eat. This guy must have thought since I'm a woman, I couldn't possibly have a brain. Read more

I believe my daughter and I were waited on by the owner. He was very condescending to us both. We are pilots in the wind... industry and eat at a lot of resturants and most of them are Mexican restaurants. My daughter has diet restrictions and is veryspecific in the questions she asks prior to ordering her food and is very specific in her words when ordering. He chose not tolisten and brought out the incorrect food for her. The menu had a chicken fajita burrito on the lunch menu. The definition ofa chicken fajita is:stripped grilled meat with stripped peppers and onions usually served on a flour or corn tortilla. Well...when I get the burrito it is just a flour tortilla with chopped grilled chicken... dry as a bone, no veggies. When I asked, Iwas told fajita just meant the meat. There was no marinade or anything on the meat. The only positive thing about theexperience was that the beans, salsa, and chips were good. Read more

First time here and we loved the place. Chips are nice and crispy and hot sauce is average. The facility is clean and it feels... like my good neighbor owns the place. I?m from the Texas border so I?m tough in Mexican restaurants. I had the #10 on the lunchspecials. I had never heard of the that dish so I went for it and I was very pleasantly surprised. My wife like the enchiladasand the refried beans. The rice was average. The quest was pretty darn good. Feels like a family owned place and you?ll herethe staff does in Spanish. Bathrooms are clean. I was glad we stopped by. Read more

Outstanding authentic Tex-Mex and hot spicy salsa at its best. A rather small restaurant with a very cozy "on the border... cantina" atmosphere. Superb service from the waiters/waitresses with drink refills from the personable and attentive ownerhimself. Read more
