Drove from Austin to get out of town to come eat here. When we arrived we had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. In our... section there was about 2 families ahead of us. Our orders were taking within 5 minutes. Oatmeal, bisquit n gravy platter andwaffle platter. I think we waited about 30 minutes till our oatmeal arrived and then another 10 minutes for our platters. (Newcook) Even though service was not quick it's understandable because they are very short on staff. Food was delicious, myhusband ate all his food and he rarely finishes every bite. It was I who barely touched the bisquit and gravy because it was notwhat I expected it to be. Though I did take a bite of it just to taste it and I did not like it. Why? Biscuit and gravy shouldbe smothered with the country sauge gravy. It was like a biscuit sandwhich with a splash of gravy at the top. That's the onlything I did not like because it's been months since I have ate this dish and I was disappointed by the presentation of it. Allin all Perkins is still a wonderful place to eat at. Please have patience with the staff when knowing they are short handed. Ifyour waiting please be ready to have your orders to be taken and not decide when your waiter or waitress arrive. The big tableof 8 was so loud and irritating me because they was waiting for the last person of their group to arrive and he was late over15minutes. When their waitress came 10mins after he arrived a few of them was still deciding what the heck to order. Portion offood was alot. Total came out to 34 bucks. I stacked up our dishes and silverware and wiped up our table. Left a $9.00 tip andwent to check out. Checking out was another 10 minute wait. I gave a 3 star only because they need to hire a couple moreworkers so that service and checking in&out can be a lite quicker. Read more

Horrible service. If I could leave a 0 I would. Hostess looked and acted like she had major depression and was about to cry the... entire time we were there and seating us an others. She talked so sad and soft we could not hear her. She was so slow and I meanslow counting out our change. She had no idea who was in charge and said a manager was not there. Had to ask her to repeat everytime she spoke due to her whispering. Waitress cracked a small tiny fake smile and acted like it was a major inconvenience justto do that. Food was not cooked fully. Called several times but the phone just rings and rings. Noone ever answers and nevergoes to voicemail. Read more

Eggs had shells in them, hash browns were under cooked. The floor around our table was disgusting. There was a used face mask on... the floor covered and surrounded by dirt and dust. The floor by our table was also covered in dirt, dust and filth. There werealso dead flies in the lamp above our table. Food was good but the service was terrible again. The waitress was friendly butonly stopped by our table a couple of times. Took a good couple of minutes before the waitress showed up to ask what drinks wewanted. This was by far the worst restaurant I've been too. Definitely would not recommend anyone go here. August 6 - ate hereagain... Waitress was unhelpful, had to ask to get things for the kids meal that came with it, had to ask for ranch with thefried pickles, took drinks for a refill and brought them back at the end of the meal, never asked if we wanted boxes for meals,corn was under cooked, steak was luke warm.... Once again terrible service, terrible, inattentive staff, and left dirty dishesall over a table next to us after those customers left. At this point upper management or the District manager needs to fireeveryone and teach these waitresses how to take care of the customers... My 4 year old could do a better job. Read more
