I have eaten in alot of restaurants or my lifetime and this one is number one for me. First, the menu gives a great variety to... choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Second, the food is superb. The food is down to earth family style and not a bunchof processed meats and other foods. Everything is fresh and the taste is awesome. Third, you get what you pay for in thisrestaurant. I do not have any problem with the prices because all size portions are above and beyond any others within the localcommunity. Heading from Georgia to the Minnesota renaissance festival which opens in two weeks and the first thing I like to do in... Right off the bat was greeted by the owner (very friendly) and was seated, per our request, out of the way of other customers,... for a quiet/intimate dining experience. Came for dinner, but it wasn't busy, which was nice. Service (once we were noticed inour little corner of the restaurant) was grand! Friendly wait staff, quick response to requests and overall a goodexperience. The food was good. It wasnt dazzling, but neither of us ordered anything fancy. Maybe next time we'll get a littlemore out of the comfort zone, but they made the food correctly and it wasn't undercooked/overcooked, so overall I liked myexperience, but I can't say I loved it. Help was super friendly. They were slow at the time so the food was super fast. I had the walleye dinner and it was good. The... chocolate cream pie wasn't as good as I was hoping but still good. My wife had a coleslaw side and was disappointed in it butshe also had the walleye. While she didn't enjoy it as much as I did she did like it. Read more
I have been here twice and have found it to be middle of the road. There are not a lot of choices on the menu. If you like steak... or just a very basic breakfast, you will likely like it here. I'm not much of a steak person and I like more options or moreunique meals. The second time I went here, we had a party of 5. It took over an hour to get our food and there was nocommunication as to why it was taking so long. Then we heard the waitress tell a different table that they were down a cook. Wealso never were asked if we wanted anything else and she just gave us the bill on 1 receipt. This experience doesn't make mewant to go back. I would rather go somewhere else next time. Read more
While still new and working out the kinks, and not very open to feedback, overall they have very good food and good desert,... though you will definitely pay a premium for the desert ($30 for a whole pie at the Holidays, but hey, you pay for theconvenience of not making it yourself, so it is what it is). We ate here on a Saturday night. We had a group of 7 and called ahead to reserve a table. Food came pretty quick, but some of... the food with our table was bland and lacked seasoning. The staff were friendly, but service seemed a little slow. Some of usordered pie to go and once we got our pie waited at least 15 minutes to get our check, but server never came back. We ended upgoing up front to pay. Our wasn't terrible, but these are things to work with your staff on time get better. Read more
