well, i went dinning with my sister and we were treated well, we order and got our drinks in a well manner time. As time pass,... we got our appetizers and a little second later, my sister receive her meal, i waited and waited for an about an hour and we hadhead out soon after that, and ask the waitress for my meal, i got a blank expression, with a simple reply, "Okay". . . no 'sorryfor the inconvenience', so i was sadden... got my meal to go and ate my meal at home, the meal was great . but sadly myexperience was not a good one here. We went with a party of 9 in one of the private rooms for lunch on a Saturday. It was not busy. I and one other were the only... non-Asians in the party. At first the service was acceptable. We all ordered and 7 of us received our meals in a timelymanner. However 2 people who ordered the same thing (chicken with steamed rice) did not receive their lunches until we all weredone. Also they were informed after 30 minutes of waiting that they were out of steamed rice. What kind of Japanese restaurantruns out of rice?! We all agreed that we won?t be back. This restaurant is fairly close to where I live and has been our go toplace for sashimi and sushi for the last few years. However, they have nosedived in quality. The last time we had sushi there(2 months ago) the tuna was not fresh but had been obviously frozen, and my Japanese wife commented that they don?t know how tomake sushi rice anymore. Drove in on Sunday to place an order for Monday at 5:00 pm. Ordered a love boat for $79.00. Arrive to pick up order an was told... it would be 45 minutes or so longer to get the order. I explained that it was to be ready at 5. So they ask for 10 or 15 minutesmore. I received a small box of sashimi only no sushi and one small California roll. I really feel cheated as I was do a lotmore food. ???? very sad an disappointed. Lied to my face and cheated me to boot. Read more
Great food, always a favorite! However the staffing seems too low, the last couple visits we ended up waiting around 45 minutes... for a chef at the grill to be available. Otherwise everything was excellent and you get more than enough food for your buck plusa fun experience. Read more
I feel really bad for only giving 2 stars, but here's why. I had made a reservation for 6pm and my party was not all there at 6... so we could not all be seated yet (we didn't know but that's okay the entire party was there by 6:15). I notified the hostessand I was told they're cleaning up the table and to give them a couple minutes. So about 15 minutes later we were able to betaken back to our seats. We ordered fairly quickly but the disappointing part was that we were told they were short handed onchefs after being sat an hour and a half. We all understood the short handed staff was working hard. We do not blame them. Butwe watched people come in well after us and eat and leave before us. We waited for so long that we had kids falling asleep intheir chairs. We got there at 6pm with a reservation and we didn't have our food done and one our plates till 9:15. They closedat 9:30 so we felt rushed and ended up just putting out food in to go boxes and leaving so we wouldn't hold the staff over. Ijust don't understand how management is okay with that and how they fill all 6 grills with only 3 chefs. And what's the point ofmaking a reservation if you're gonna wait for 3+ hours for food. First visit- really good sushi. The place was packed on a Friday at 6pm. They had a couple people call in sick, so good took... about an hour, but the meal was worth waiting on. Second visit- Sushi still good, though the tuna was a little dry. Service wasgreat. Food was out pretty quick. Read more
