Firehouse makes some of my favorite subs and this location has friendly, hard working individuals who always seem to try their... best despite at times being short staffed (seems to be the norm in these times). I really don't like reducing a location'sratings based on things that are out of their control, and every time I go into this location I see the people behind thecounter doing their best to be friendly and as quick as they can be. I appreciate them very much and always enjoy going in. Justbe careful if you pop in at lunch time on a weekday if you're in a hurry but don't blame the people behind the counter. They'redoing their best. I frequent all the locations in ABQ (I really do like their subs) and this one is my favorite next to thelocation on the west side (Cottonwood). If you haven't tried a sub here yet, ask a team member and they will give yousuggestions based on your preferences. Also, Firehouse doesn't charge more for upgrading to a large soda, which may not be thehealthiest thing but it shows the company's approach to creating value. We were waited on promptly and courteously. The sandwiches were well prepared and the eating area was spacious and clean.
First time here. Worker gave great details on the choices of sandwiches. Gluten Free bread choice. Got the vegetable sub. So... good! All our subs were toasted and delicious! Read more
I had two simple sandwiches to he made an hour before close and they took awhile so I asked them how much longer on the subs... politely, just checking in, after that not only was my gf pickle tucked weirdly under her sandwich being crushed (because he wasmaking hers at the time) but also there was a HUGGGE hair across the whole sandwich that my gf bit into....are you SERIOUS thatis straight up RUDE and disrespectful! Like so many fast food joints today -- they failed to get the order correct. How hard is it to read the ticket? I simply ordered... a childs Turkey, lettuce, tomatoe and mayo. What did I get? Bread and turkey! NOTHING ELSE. Found out when it was delivered athome. Then the manager wanted to know if I wanted to burn more gas and drive across town so they could make it right. Overall Firehouse subs are very good and this is a good restaurant to eat at if you like sub sandwiches. This review is for this... location specifically. Edited to add- when I filled out their survey they did follow up on this. They were willing to offer arefund. The people above the manager in this store made it right and were very kind and helpful. Original Review- Twice now Iput together fairly big orders online and ordered ahead only to not have anything started when I arrived. Which means twice nowI've had my schedule messed up by 20-30 minutes because they did not do the work in a timely manner If they were busy I mightunderstand that they were very few customers in there. It's unfortunate that their personnel schedule caused the low rating. When we got there, it looked closed because chairs were... up and no open sign. When we asked if we could dine in we were told that since there were only three employees, they were notallowing dine-in and maybe even considering closing early (posted time 9pm).
