I would visit the location in Corrales from time to time for a nice, tasty pizza so, when I found that Village Pizza had a... location on the West side, I was pretty excited to try it out and I was not disappointed! Tasty sauce, more than enough cheese,and a very generous amount of pepperoni! I wanted scarf it down, I was so hungry and the delicious smells coming from thekitchen was making me very impatient! But, I chose to make myself wait and then savor each bite. I love the selection of craftbeer as well! I also appreciate the puzzles and games for the kids and especially the clean restrooms! First time eating Village Pizza. I ordered a small Blanco White pizza add chicken. Relative prices for a mom & pop pizza place.... Most resturants in the area forget about chicken toppings usually leaving out the seasoning while sitting the chicken out allday to dry out. Village Pizza completely opposite their chicken was juicy and seasoned. Friendly staff, great service. I blamemyself for small hiccups such as a lack of sauce & pizza being almost fully cooked (I have an oven so no biggy) amd walking in30 minutes prior to closing on a Saturday. Amazing local, family owned pizza place. Definitely a must try. We got a green chile with Italian sausage and one of their... specialty pizzas-the dust devil. I thought the powdered red chile on the dust devil was risky but they pulled it off! The crustis delicious. Nice and crusty on the outside, soft inside, perfect thickness. The sauce was also super flavorful. Definitelytakes a spot as one of the best pizza places in ABQ. Can?t wait to come back! Read more
Will not dine here again, even for takeout. We were first customers of the day arriving a few minutes after opening. Dining /... lobby area was unclean. The bench by the front door had large foot prints and sand all over it so it was obvious someone hadstood on it and it had not been cleaned. The table felt like it had a film on it and it made me wonder how old the water wasthat was used to clean the tables. I accidentally went to the servers area trying to get some silverware and I couldn?t tell ifthey were clean or dirty. The no longer used silverware bins by the takeout boxes were understandably empty due to infectioncontrol precautions however they were filthy inside. Also one of the drinks on the soda machine had no syrup and they werealready out of cucumbers for the salad first thing. It made me wonder if they do inventory the night before or even duringmorning prep. If the customer-facing area was like this I have concerns about the kitchen. Read more
