Best Mexican food I?ve had so far. So much flavours and good balance. This is an authentic restaurant. Simple mom and pop shop... so don?t expect it to be like everywhere else. I didn't know what to expect about this place when I found out that it's nestled in the industrial section of the city. A... stranger location you would not find. If you are looking for a fancy, maybe dress up a bit for restaurant with some nice decorthis is not the place. Small, old, tables for about 5 sets of diners, and not much more. Saying all that the jolly Mexican ownerand his wife were very friendly and welcoming. They are from Mazatlan, hence the name. The menu has a decent set of choices, mywife choosing fish tacos and me the chicken enchiladas. Our friends had the burrito and chimichanga. All our meals were fast,plentiful and delicious!A true authentic Mexican feast! Pricing was reasonable, not a huge selection of alcohol(A lime margaritaor 3 choices of Mexican beer) but a good experience with great food in a friendly atmosphere! Read more

I wish I could give 7 stars. What an experience. We were greeted with an exceptional smile. The owner told us stories and made... us smile. The cooks were amazing. Both had huge smiles and were happy to prepare our lunch. We asked what there options were forvegetarian and he said ?everything? with such an open heart. We just left one of the main attractions in BC and this placetopped off our day. So grateful to find this little JEM. Also, tons of parking. We are from Edmonton, but we will return!! Read more

Don Juan has created a ?little Mexico? inside this amazing restaurant. The music and decor transport you directly to Mazatlán... and the food completes your journey! We tried the Enmoladas, nopal salad, queso fundido, pork tacos which are cochinita pibilstyle and tortilla soup. Amazing authentic Mexican food!!! We will be back every time we visit Abbotsford.
