I went to this local lunch spot earlier today, and I ordered a Philly. This place is perfect for lunch, and you'll be craving it... for the rest of the afternoon! We ordered from their catering menu for a church event for 30 people, and several of the items were delicious. However, a... warning, several of the foods come FROZEN. We picked up our food about 30 minutes before the event, but some of it took 60-90minutes to heat up. We had talked to them twice while preparing for the event and studied their menu, but it never came up thatthe food was frozen at pick up. Perhaps it should be called something other than catering if it's not event ready at pick up?Other than that, most of the food we got was very tasty. Read more

I went to the Main Dish for the first time yesterday. I say this with no exaggeration; this place shocked me with how good it... was. Not to be too much of an Alexandria-basher...but this town is severely lacking in good food options. So I was reallysuprised to come across what is possibly the best philly cheesesteak I've ever had - that includes the originators inPhiladelphia. The meat on the sandwich was flavorful and tender, and was chopped and cooked to perfection. The cheese was tastyand generously applied, and it melted and blended perfectly into the mayo (as it should in my ideal cheesesteak). The bread wasfantastic, as well. My only complaint honestly is that they aren't ever open for dinner or on the weekends (lunch only, M-F). Iwill definitely be back. I'm actually disappointed in myself that I never visited their other location, because clearly I wasmissing out on one of the best meals available in this town. Read more
Delicious food and friendly staff. It's conveniently located just outside of our subdivision. I had the Tuesday's lunch special... (Grilled Chicken Salad and Gumbo) and the missus had the Spicy Shrimp and Avocado Salad. They were very good! Looking forward totry the other items on the menu. Read more
