This place is the definition of a hidden gem. From the outside it looks like a residential house. When you walk in you are... greeted by the 3 most amazing guys behind the counter. Service is fast, friendly, and fun. The food though, the food? Its sostellar! I don't want to even post about it because they only make so many a day but the veggie burger is unlike any veggieburger you've ever had (and I would bet money on it). Its savory, good spices, it doesn't fall apart when you try to eat it. Ithas a great consistency and they pair it with incredible sauces and bread to make a satisfying and filling meal that youwouldn't even guess was vegetarian. I am so deadass about that veggie burger. I would eat it 4 times a week if I could. It hasruined all other veggie burgers for me. I would buy a pack of them if I could, but I could never dress them up the way that Johnand the other incredible people here do! I had reserved a private area for a business meeting at this facility for 10 people. We all showed up for 11:30 and there was a... sign on the door reading ?Closed due to staffing?!!! I had left my name and phone number when I placed the reservations. I neverreceived a call to let me know there was change. Poor communication skills and extremely disappointing. We were meeting due toan employee having a surgery on Monday. We wanted a private area in order to have a group prayer. Read more

Excellent lunch. Traditional style lunch room with daily menu. Mashed potatoes and pulled pork were fantastic. Two choices of... bread pudding - both amazing. Highly recommend this downtown Alexandria spot for a satisfying lunch. Read more

6-13-22 tried this place for the first time. Wanted to go previously, but he was closed because of his ???????? The food is... AMAZINGLY flavorful! Even the spring salad mix. There is this tasty sweet sauce that's used...and it could make any leafy greenthe most delectable thing to have in your mouth. Lol I ordered the cup of shrimp and corn bisque--yum! The red beans and ricewith sausage is SUPER YUMMY! It was all so good...that I was eating like a hog at my table--had remnants of bean juice drippingdown my chin. ???? I found this place through Google and wanted to try it out. I was extremely impressed with the taste and atmosphere of this... place! Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful with the menu and the food tasted amazing. It is a small place so have toget there early as it does get packed. The prices are a little on the high side compared to food portions. Overall I wouldrecommend to try this place out when have some splurging money. It was extremely tasteful especially the almond breadpudding !!However if on a budget the prices don't match portion size of the food. So will still be hungry afterwards. Read more
