My friend and I went here with our little girls and sat on their patio. My review is primarily about the food because neither of... us were very impressed with the service. I had the chicken and waffles and my friend had the alfredo, both were delicious! Ourdaughters split a kids pizza. The sauce with the chicken and waffles was to die for. We also ordered cocktails which were verytasty. Things we did not appreciate: we were sat at the only patio table that was half in direct sunlight. There were lots ofopen tables with more shade. We gave the shady seats to our kids so we were sweating balls the whole time we sat there. Since wewere so hot and we had young kids, we were anxious to leave, but our server didn?t check on us much and was very slow to bringus our bill and process our payments. Read more
Way over priced. The food is really just so so. I ordered turkey salad for 17 bucks and it's totally not worth it. Parents... ordered tomahawk for 110 dollars BTW, the price is not on menu. Meat is good but over seasoned, kinda disappointed of spendthat much money on the meal. I ordered a drink that bartender randomly made it and when I went back ask for a bit more vodkabecause it literally taste like blueberry juice, his attitude is bad and charged me 7.5 dollars for one more shot :( Sorry , nota good experience at your place , one time visit. A lot of unique offerings to choose from and everything we had tasted great (shrimp scampi flatbread and fish tacos). The... blueberry cake for dessert was yummy. Waitress was very friendly and did a good job. Outside seating was good for fresh air -the restaurant is located across the street from the lake, not on the lake but it's a small road in between. All the othertables ordered food that looked great and gave us ideas to order if we go back again (we're visiting the area -- woulddefinitely go back of we lived here). Read more
Had lunch at Lure while in Alexandria for a visit. Nice location with views of a lake where you can sit either inside or at... outdoor patio. Inside is very open and modern looking. Bar in middle of restaurant is surrounded by a number of flat screen TVsto watch various sporting events. We started things off with the tater totchos which everyone enjoyed. Combination of totsdrizzled with queso and topped with bacon, onion and jalapenos. Definitely a little kick to start off the meal. We then hadentrees ranging from fish and chips to the Buoy burger to the foot long Le Homme hot dog. Six walleye fingers with the fish andchips which were very good. For the Buoy burger it was your basic quarter pounder with cheese, lettuce, tomato and onions thatwas very tasty and filling. Finally the Le Homme dog was every bit of a grilled beef hot dog on a very large bun topped withchilli, home made mustard sauce, caramelized onions, cheese, bacon and peppers. According to our host he really liked the flavorand obviously the portion. His toughest task was to find a way to tackle eating this gigantic hot dog. All meals came with homemade fries that were about the same as most places that have fries. Nothing overwhelming but complimentary to the entrees. Wouldrecommend trying out Lure when up in the Alexandria area during your trip up to the lakes. Read more
