Wife got dumplings and I got the chicken friend rice. We were both very happy with the meals. They both tasted fresh and the... price wasn’t that bad. The one thing we both didn’t like were the shrimp in the fried rice but it didn’t ruin the meal orexperience. Read more

Yea…no. Very expensive for the portion and what they serve. $20 for their pepper beef filet? News flash, it’s basically beef... with green pepper at Chinese take out places. And my dish looked nothing liked what they showed on their website, my dish didnot have any red peppers in it(see picture). The scallion pancake tasted good, but was very oily and kind of soggy. The stringbeans was just ok, not the best. Also, they called themselves authentic, yet they charge $2 for a small portion of rice. Idon’t know any authentic Chinese restaurants in the area that charges for rice. Not to mentioned that I placed an order forover $140 and asked them if they would give me 4 portion of rice for free. The answer was no. Overall, nothing special and veryexpensive. I gave them a try and that was enough for me, I wouldn’t go back again. There are way better options in the DMVarea for less. Read more

This is one of Alexandria's best kept secrets! To be honest I'm not a huge fan of "American Chinese Food" so I never stopped in... to Kungfu Kitchen until my neighbor told me about an article that was written about the restaurant which peaked my interest. Boyam I'm glad I did!! This is NOT your typical Chinese restaurant. The cuisine hails from Northern China and and is very atypicalof most commonly known Chinese dishes. Lots of savory noodle dishes, spicy meats, stuffed buns, and many other complexdelicacies you have to try. I strongly suggest coming with a lot of friends so everyone can order something different andeveryone share and sample to see what you like best because YOU WILL be back! Read more

The Fried String Beans were really good, but I just loved the Crispy Sweet and Sour Pork Slices and could have eaten another... plate full. The Scallion Pancake with Beef and Pan-Fried Peking Duck Buns made the meal more than enough for two people andleftovers will be great for lunch tomorrow. Lots of interesting dishes on the menu to try next time. Read more

Parking lot available. They seemed a little short staffed. It took some time for us to get some water and for us to put our... order in. We ordered the Cubed Cucumber Salad, Crab & Pork Soup Dumpling, Scallion Pancake with Beef, Braised Pork Belly in ClayPot and Crispy Sweet and Sour Pork. I also ordered a side of white rice since it doesn't come with entrees. I believe it's anextra $1.50. It was strange, however, that they immediately brought out my bowl of white rice by itself so it sat there until mydinner came. The Cucumber Salad was good and definitely spicy. It's great that they do have vegan items on their menu. TheScallion Pancake with Beef had good flavor but it doesn't generally come with any dipping sauce which can make it a tad dry. There's sauce in there as it's wrapped up with the Beef. The Soup Dumplings were delicious but I had to ask for a soup spoon andgenerally what comes with Soup dumplings are vinegar and chili oil. The Braised Pork Belly in Clay Pot was the best tasting andwas delicious but I was a little disappointed it didn't come out in a small Clay Pot as expected. The crispy sweet and sour porkwas crispy but didn't have much flavor and the pork had a strange consistency. Service was alright, a little slow but it seemedlike the restaurant had just opened and things were getting figured out. Read more

Flavors of most of the dishes were very good. The low rating is due to food quality and value. I don't mind paying for good... food but pricing is way off for what you receive. The beef scallion pancake contained one tiny slice of beef and it was soakedin grease. There were hardly any noodles in the chili beef noodle stir fry. The dish was mostly onions and pepper. I don'tunderstand being cheap with noodles. This was way overpriced ($17) for what we received. It was a shame because flavors were onpoint. The chongqing spicy chicken entree did not come with rice. This dish was $17.75, portion was on the small side and I wasvery annoyed that I was expected to pay an additional $2 for rice. The dumplings are where this restaurant really shines. Thepork soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings were delicious. The filling was flavorful and the wrapper had a nice chew, not toothick. The pictures are all the food that we ordered, this was not worth $73 for two people. I would come here for thedumplings and nothing else. Read more
